7/2026 - Thursday the 30th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Algot

I remember this name.  I am sure there was an Algot or two in town but you do not hear it now.

    Today was not the best day.  I got no sleep so I missed lunch today with friends.  Supposed to get JR at 2pm but cancelled..  My stupid stomach got sickly.  Decided I dared not drive anywhere.  We will get him tomorrow after work.  Then eat out somewhere.  I had a nice nap.

    While napping JS called for a video call.  He truly cares for me.  He calls often just to make sure I am doing ok.  Nice to have a couple of people who do care about me.  He & MM are the best.

    Had some drizzle earlier today.  And it stayed cloudy so we never got hot.  Stayed in the mid 80s.  And a nice strong breeze.  So I fed Daisy & sat outside with her for a long time.  I feel guilty ignoring her.  This morning when I went to feed her lunch she got in the house.  I mean clear in!!!  She & Cinder rubbed noses!!!  No one died.  I tried to grab her but my hands were full!!!  She usually minds if I yell NO.  Not today.  She was determinded to get in.  Glad all are ok!!!  Whew!

    It was nice sitting outside.  And Daisy on my lap loving & purring.  I know that she loves me.  What a sweetie!!!

    Rest of the day was quiet.  I need to try to eat better at home.  Now more rain forecast.  So they say.  Rain in SW Kansas now.

7/2026 - Monday the 6th- MY JOURNEY

 

Wish I had chicken for supper.  Dang that looks good!!

Today's Name Day:  Jessika , Esaias

I have known a Jessika or two.  And I know an Isaiah who is a great guy & a hoot!!!

    Today was an interesting day.  I had a doctor's appointment.  Lab went good in the morning.  But.  My appointment.  In my mind it was at 2pm.  On my calendar it said 1pm.  I got there to be told it was really at 3pm.  Lordy!!!  I did not want to drive back home so I just found a chair.  Not too bad a rest. Talked with several nice people.

    My appointment was fine.  I came home & rested.  Did not sleep.  Did not gather trash.  Did not have that in me.  Just done for the day.  When I left Daisy followed me to the car.  No bueno.  She finally go the idea I did not want her there.  She sat & watched me leave.  I need a cooler day to sit outside with her.

    Just got in my sleeping outfit.  And noticed it is on inside out.  The weirdness  continues!!  Will fix when I go to bed.  Home tomorrow.

    JS called me this afternoon.  Told him I could not talk since I was in the hospital.  He almost wrecked his car until I explained all was fine.  Told him to call tomorrow.  He calls when he gets off work & we talke while he drives somewhere to shop.  One of the few who actually think of me.

    Watched the US at FIFA today.  They played an awful game with lots of errors.  Score was 4-1.  So sad.

    Computer trouble tonight.  Almost could not do my blog.  But here I am. Not all my photos made it.  I added some on here.

    Tired of heat.  It is awful.  But the hospital was freezing.  Where I work in freezing.  Long sleeves are a blessing.  Not going to the car though!!

    Without  Colbert night time tv sucks.  Although there one will be doing new shows with guest hosts.  Might be ok.  First guest host on Kimmel. Do. not care for her.  Gonna be a long summer.

6/2026 - Wednesday the 17th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Torborg , Torvald

I knew of a Torborg.  Think Mom knew her.

    Today could have been better.  Called in sick.  Diabetes not good.  Too tired to move.  I overcame guilt to call in.  Rested a lot.

Had text & photos from MM.  Love his boys.

    Harvest has officially ended.  KN is now here mowing my yard.  And now CN is here on a small mower.  Even my back yard!!  Whoo hoo!!!  I can now get to my tornado shelter.  Maybe the little tree in my drive got moved.  Big one will take help.

    I woke up this morning with Kisse curled by my legs.  Then Cinder jumped in & curled up by my chest.  Maybe they knew I was feeling bad.  They both stayed until my alarm went off.  A couple of hours.

    JS video chatted with me when he got off work.  Nice to see & hear him.  Nice to have someone check on me.

    Had low bs before supper.  Sure hit me fast.  Still a bit shaky.  I hate diabetes.  No bueno.

    Got very hot today & humid.  Fed Daisy & about passed out!!

    FIFA now is Panama.  Have a friend from there.  Hope they win.  Match over soon.  Tied so far.  Tense!

    Hope I feel better tomorrow,  Hope.
