25 December, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

I am choosing not to write a blog tonight.  A day off.  Only photos.

My first photo is of our family Christmas dinner for my brother & I.  We wanted pizza but there was none to have.  We chose to eat high on the hog & chose to select food at Casey's.  I got a BBQ chicken & bacon wrap.  Very tasty.  And a Coke & donut holes.  My brother chose a different warp.  LOve family Christmas family time. (sarcastic post)

First photo is of my dinner.  The rest are Christmas.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 269....

Fairly quiet day. Great weather but too warm. Almost got to 70F. In december!!!

Nico and I sat outside for around 30 minutes or so and I was surprised to not hear or see one bird. Not one. Odd. But on the way to town was a huge group of geese headed west. West?

JR and I ate at Crown and Rye tonight. I had fried shrimp, fries, and salad. Awesome. There were others there but not near us. Tables are widely spaced. After I took a few photos of lights. Seen quite a few. Have to take an evening just for photos!

JS video chatted tonight. I tried to convince him we would have 3" of ice on saturday. He did not believe me and laughed. He believed me once and convinced his entire shift to be careful! I have such power!! We do have 1-3" of snow forecast on saturday and more saturday nite. And maybe then on tuesday. About time.

JS and I also talked about our lives. We both have the same events taking place and we talked. Did not solve anything though. Good to share! And good he took time to chat with me. He just has no idea how good that makes me feel. Hard to be so isolated and seeing hardly anyone or even hearing from anyone. Seems to be getting harder everyday for me.

Photos are mostly internet photos. I just wanted some winter photos.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 268....

Had some things to do today. Nice to get out and even talk to a couple of people. Almost unheard of for me.

Had therapy. Missed the last two weeks. She was worried about me. Last week was the anniversary of Willie's death. I cried most of the night so got no sleep and had a bad headache. Not a good time for me. So today was a welcome break. Good to have someone to talk to.

I went into the Hemslöjd for a sympathy card for my uncle's family. They plan a graveside service this weekend. Not sure I can go. I do not want to be close to anyone  I do not normally see. Their kids are from all over and who knows if they use masks or not. At least one  I have doubts about. And I cannot stand for a long time. My back is no good . Might have get a chiropractor. See if he can help. My hips are really good but not my back. TMI. Sorry.

Ended my time out with ice cream in my car from the White Peacock. Need to go there more often. It was wonderful --- pumpkin.

Photos are some old, some not mine, and some from today.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 267....

Not much going on today. Little trouble sleeping but not much. Pain is better but walking is still a challenge.

I made it to Salina to fill my car with gas and pick up groceries. Good to have food again. Lunch was at Arby's.

End of my day.

Photos are a mix of Christmas and snow.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 264....

I actually slept last night. I took half an anxiety pill. I hate to take them but no more. Every night I will take one. Nice to sleep all night.

Early this morning I saw a deer coming from my pond headed north. We perused each other. I have missed them.

JR and I ate at Jalisco's tonight. I got something different. Instead of my usual shrimp, I had a soft taco and cheese nachos. Good!! A second soft taco was for Nico. But just the hamburger. He was a happy camper.

I hate not eating inside but it is interesting watching people go in and out. Sort of makes us nosy!!

Nice weather today. Really want December weather but no hope yet.

Photos tonight are from town tonight. The Santa I just saw on the internet. Thought he was cool.
