Today's Name Day:  Oskar, Ossian, Beata, Beatrice

Have a cousin in Järvsjö Sweden named Oskar.  A Swedish lady Beata Sydhoff was here at Bethany College years ago.  Saw her often.  One of the very few times I got to know any of the Swedes that come here..  Usually only the elite people were included.  In no way am elite on any level..

    Had an ok day.  Alone as usual.  Only heard from JL & NC.  But in good news JR's phone is now normal.  He finally figured out to turn everything off & then back on.  Now it all works.   Great!!!  We have chatted.

    Was chilly today but better than yesterday.  I got really warm overnight for some unknown reason.  I took my weighted blanket off.  Of course I eventually got cold again.  Pulled it back up again. 

    Checked for mail tonight before supper.  No mail but a sweet deer almost in my yard.  We had eye contact with each other.  It was not scared.  The deer usually cross my drive after visiting out pond down where it floods.  No idea why this one was so close.  A nice moment though.

    Weather tomorrow is high winds but no snow or anything.  Far western Kansas will have a chance for snow.

    I got brave & looked to see how much property taxes I owe.  I think it is higher this year.  I almost passed out!!!!  Have to pay by the end of this december.  Hope I have it in one bank at least.  Others expect money from me but not sure I have any thing else.  My taxes come first.

    Photos are a mix.  I even have them sorted.

When Cinder was dumped out here she lived under my house.  This was her entrance,  After the day she was lost all day until after 1am she moved inside full time.  She returned terrified of something.  Asked to go out twice after her scary time but only managed a couple of steps each time.  Asks no more.  I am relieved.

06 october, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

I had a very nice day.  Great weather to be out & about.  Thank goodness the awful 90F plus temps are gone ---- finallly.

    My first errand was a stop at my accountant's office.  I had 2 years of taxes to pay.  I have a ton of guilt of making him do all that.  But I wrote all the checks & they will mail them.  Wish I could have went shopping with that money instead of giving it to the government.  But it gets better every year.  Helped to sell almost all my farm land.  I hate not having it but it cost lots of money for insurance & fertilizer, etc.

    Then I went to Jerry Ivey Park & took photos & sat with my window open listening to the water sprinkler.  Very relaxing.  I had time to kill.  I was glad.  A nice lady & baby walked by my car & she talked to me.  In my town that rarely happens.  I have cousins that eat where I do who rarely have eye contact or a hello.  Love families!!!

    Then I had an hair appointment at a new place.  My stylist is on vacation.  So went somewhere new to me.  They were friendly & the girl I had did the best shampoo.  The way she styled my hair is just so-so.  I will curl it more tomorrow.  Or after sleeping it may be just fine.  I am going to see her again next week.  Nice to have a place I like when my guy is out of town.

    I came home & Cinder was just adorable.  I will share a photo of her napping in a small box.  So sweet!

    Weather was nice.  Temps were 51 & 85.  Cooler tomorrow.  About time.  They have mentioned frost but I do not remember what day.

    MK, grandson, called tonight.  Nice apology, kids yelling "grandma", & plans to get me a hot water heater.  Cannot imagine a hot shower & even doing my own hair.  Or not!!!  Enjoying being pampered!!!

    No photos tonight.  They will not load.  My photos last night were all .jpeg format.  Loaded fine.  Same format tonight & nada.  I tried to change their format & that would not work.  I am soooo frustrated.  I have tried everything.  Dang.  Sorry.  Hope they are upgrading or something.  Trying not to cry.
