5/2026 - Sunday the 31th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Veronika , Vera, Petronella , Pernilla

I only know a Pernilla.  A cousin in Skåne.  Love her name & she & her family are the best.  Wish I could go see them again.  But no family or friends who can help me in anyway.  No one who can even take me to Wichita let alone Sweden.  FML.

    Last 2 days.  What a challenge.  Saturday was a fun day at work. Some one I have known for a long time came & he stayed for a while to talk.  Very pleasant.  Then a new friend stayed the rest of the day.  I really like her.  Hope we stay in touch

    After work I went out to eat.  Nothing good at home.  And ended with  ice cream.  I noticed the clouds from south of town we moving at a scary speed to town.  Super fast & huge clouds.  I got a few photos  I am sharing.  They blew to my farm.     

    I had winds of at least 70mph.  Scary.  Then the electricity was killed.  I was terrified to walk around the house.  Only a tiny flashlight to use.  I was so scared I would fall & get injured.  My trash bins were really tossed around.  One blocked me to get in my car so I could charge my phone

    I had no electricy from around 8pm until 12:41am.  I fell asleep around 9pm.  Both inside cats were a mess.  I think scared.  Kisse was racing around.  Cinder just stayed close,  Did not sleep well most of the night.

    In times of bad things, you find out who cares. MM called to check on me.  Told me he would check when he went to bed.  And see if I needed anything.  And he did.  Told me he  would call this morning,  And he did.  His youngest son is here,  He heard us talking & said in the phone "Hello!  I love you Grandma".

    Did make it to work.  Dead tired.  Work was ok today.  I prepared to be tired but two artists came in & kept me awake.  So did my new friend,

    KK from Pizza Hut has been curious where I work.  He came in today.  Nice!!  I am always surprised when some one likes me.  He makes me laugh & smile.  I like him.

    Supper was at Pizza Hut.  I had a sallad.  Good.

    Came home to find my tv did not work.  Dang.  I went to restart it but he was not diconnected.  Remote had dead batteries.  Nothing broke.  Lucky. 

    Decided to get a new dryer.  I guess.  Not sure.  Hate to spend that much money.  Must quit spending on stuff or people.

    I was sure I changed my heater/AC before work.  I did not.  House was 86F.  Poor kitties.  OK now,  Sheesh.

    I did my spanish lesson at work.  I was sure I would get docked for missing a lesson.  Nope.  Done with it tonight.  And almost done with this.  Posting few pictures.

08/2025 - Miércoles the 06th- JOURNEY

Known several ladies named Inez

    Had a good day.  Part of it was the best ever!!

    My oldest 2 great grandsons came home last night.  MM can't quit hugging them.  And all 3 are smiling.

    I stopped at MM's this noon.  They all came to greet me.  And inside Gracie my grandpuppy came running also.  I sure needed to see them all.  Lots of hugs.  Here is Junior, Atlas, & Grandma.

    After my visit it was work at the Old Mill.  But it was a lonely day.  Lots of visitors so AP was upstairs most of the time.  We are 2 short in our staff.  I am no help at all. I only do my photos & nothing else.  But I did turn on some political programs & listen without bothering anyone.  I even did some exercises.  I was hoping that AP did not return to his desk to see my arms flailing about & think I was having a seizure!!!  💃

    I started a new batch of photos..  Several folders all hooked to each other.  I am doing each one separately with unique names.  Most photos are borderline boring.

    Supper was Mexican.  They were not too busy.  I had flautas.  Very good.  Dessert was the Barnyard Creamery.  I got a small soft serve with caramel sauce.  Perfect.

    I had changed what purse I used but lordy it was far too heavy.  Probably since it was leather.  Came home & changed to a lighter purse.  Feels much better.

    My one purse that is burlap is laying on my sofa.  Kisse has commandered it as her new nest.  Plus it is next to me.

05/2025 Tisdag the 6th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Marit, Rita

A cousin's wife was Rita.

    Today was ok.  Sort of a mental health day.  And experimenting with my blood sugar & insulin.  A better day finally.

    Rain in Kansas but god forbid here.  In the west & swirling to the west.  Going in a circle there.  No chance here yet.  We always lose here.  And the weather men are soooo excited that we might get a whopping half inch.  Best not to talk about it unless we actually get rain that matters.

    The Mill had some things left on their silent auction.  I bid on one.  See if I won tomorrow when I go to work.  It is a carving.

    Had more texts today than usual.  Nice to hear from family & friends.  Good to be apart of things.  Sometimes rare for me.

    Weather was ok,  I think winds return tomorrow.  Ick.  Hate the wind.

    Sharing photos of poppies.  For local people,  these are Lan Nelson's poppies.  I watch his patch closely every year so I do not miss them.  I think these were originally Betty Hanson's poppies. She was a teacher I had.  Makes them more special.
