6/2026 - Thursday the 25th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  David , Salomon

I have known many Davids.  Cousins.  Classmates.  Neighbours.  Friend's prom date.  Friends.

    Today could have been better.  I got little to no sleep last night.  Too stressed.  Too much anxiety.  Long story.  Will keep private.  Had a little sleep in the morning.

    Still having flu symptoms.  Not major but not good either.  With diabetes your doc will tell you no matter what you always take your insulin.  But once I take it I have to try to eat something.  Got sick after lunch.

    Made it to town to pick up groceries for Cinder & I.  And later in the mail cat food came.  All cats will be happy.

    I tried to nap this afternoon but could not fall asleep.  I got up & wrote up about the photo of my class reunion with photos & names.  They came up with a second photo with a few of us.  I had already posted the first one so I did a second post to get 2 extra guys' photos,  Poor planning on my part.  But both have been looked at so I guess it is ok.

    FIFA watched Sweden & Netherlands.  Tied.  Sweden was already through no matter what.  I am still in love with Norway,

    My iPhone got super hot when I was charging it.  Why??  Took forever to cool off.  Charging with a  portable charger.  Staying cool.

    I sat outside with Daisy May.  What a doll!!  She curled up on my lap & purred.  She licked my hands & kneaded my arms & legs.  JS says when his cats are kneading him they are not kneading biscuits, they are kneading tacos!!  Cute.  I stayed out for a long time.  Very nice.  We both loved it!!  Wish I could bring her in.  I had on 2 mosquito patches to repel them.  No flies bothered me either.  Odd.

    I just paid attention to the 4 people who talk between FIFA games.  Kind of ignored them.  One is the soccer person I cannot stand no matter what.  He is awful.  I remember when our national team was starting out many years ago.  They were awful & he was an announcer or coach for them.  They have improved.  He has not.  And I wish he would be quiet.

    Feeling not good after supper.  Might not work tomorrow.  Just rest.

    Our high today was around 65F.  Awesome.  Actually 72F now.  House feels good.  This weekend is to be miserably hot.  Usch.

    Heavy rain & flooding still forecast for tomorrow.  Had a third of an inch so far today.

This is the best video I have ever seen.  Jimmy Fallon & Steven Tyler singing & dancing to "Walk This Way".  Wow!!!!

09/2025 - Miércoles the 17th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Hildegard, Magnhild

    No work today.  😞  Had some water over the driveway after over an inch of rain overnight.  More forecast.  BUT.  No more rain appeared.  So I had already called in for no work.  Causes me lots of guilt not to be there.  Then with the changing weather my RA went all to hell.  Hard to walk.  Even hard to get comfy in bed.  I cannot win.  But eventually Cinder saw me & cuddled all afternoon.  She had cuddled with me the entire nightalso.

    By supper time my stomach was upset.  I wanted to eat nothing.  I picked popcorn.  Knew it would fill me up with no upsetting my stomach further.  I hoped.

    Little human contact today.  Couple of texts from MM & an email from JL.  Tonight got a guilt photo from the other grandson.  It was not a loving photo & novery  communication. 

    Much cooler today.  Living room was chilly so the room heater was on for a short time.  Comfortable now.  More rain forecast tonite & tomorrow.

    Watching Josh Gates on the Discovery Channel.  Not scary tonight.  Yet. Still better than anything on CBS, etc.  I watch almost nothing on those channels.

    Jimmy Kimmel has been temporarily removed.  No freedom of speech in this country.  Sad.  Love his show.

    I was outside briefly.  Felt ok.  Out of the house tomorrow I hope.  In the rain.  Maybe not enough rain to bother my driveway,

    Photos are a mix.  Quite a few are ones I have hand colored in an app.  Will post those first.  Some were sketches.

   

Sketches I recolored,  App is expensive.  Should do it again.  It gives you pictures to color but I enjoy sketches much better.

Cool business that was open last summer.  Not there this summer.

Viking statue on the Bethany campus.  Artist is from Salina.  I got to see & touch it in his studio several years ago.  Love him.

                                           

09/2025 - Martes the 16th - MY JOURNEY

  

Today's Name Day:  Dag, Daga

    Had a normal home alone day.  One very brief text & one email.  I get a guilt text every morning.  Just a photos, little if any text.

    Slept well & Cinder & I had a great nap.

    My monthly grocery delivery came today.  I got it sorted out.  Finally have some Coke to drink.  Good.  It is old fashioned Cokes.  No chemicals.  Not quite as good as Coca Mexicana.  They are the best!!!!

    Little warmer today.  Rain is in western Kansas, moving my way.  Nothing severe.  Not tonight or tomorrow.  Hopefully.

    I actually wrote a poem last night.  I had no intention of writing it but the words came to me.  Maybe publish it later.  Not sure where the words came from.  About my life.  And my vision.  My eye doctor knows & has done nothing to help me.

    Photos are the usual I post.  Nothing great.
