8/2026 - Friday the 7th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Dennis , Denise

My Dad's father was Dennis but I never met him,, had a nighbour named Dennis, friends with a guy at a camp named Dennis, classmate was a  Dennis.  Have friend now named Denise.  Great friend. Worked with a Denise.

    Today was an ok day.  Worked at the SVAFC.  Not one guest.  The boss's dad & a lady with some thing for me came in.  Nice people.

    Started the day with lunch at the White Peacock with LL.  Good food & nice visit.  Had a lot to catch up on!!!

    My group of 4 is still not speaking to me.  One comment that made is THEY are working on a plan.  Their plan will not work in my life.

    I am exhausted & just pooed. Supper was at Jalisco's.  HUGE crowd.  Move in day at the college.  Fun to see MA, MS&her brothers,  AH came out but did not see me.  THEN he finally saw me, burst into a big smile & came running over with a big hug!!  MS took our photo.  Nice.

    Jalisco's closes tomorrow at 3pm.  I never paid any attention since it has nothing to do wth me. MA asked if I was going to Concordia tomorrow.  I said no that I know nothing of it.  I was supposed to be invited.  A family thing,  I have not been invited to a Mexican family stuff for many months.  Damn.  But I do not want to drive at night.  Oh well.  Nice to know they still care.  My life basically sucks.

    I am done writing,  Too tired for words.

7/2026 - Monday the 13th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Joel , Judit

I have 3 friends named Joel.  Have a cousin named Judy.  She is sick now & in a home.  Went to school with a Judith.  I enjoyed visiting with her at our class reunion.  Wish she lived closer.  Wonder if she would meet for lunch if I drove to see her?  Willie was in school with a Judy

    Today is rather stressful, but I am surviving.  Yesterday was my great grandson Atlas's 6th birthday.  He chose to have it at the Öl Stuga.  It was so much fun.  I saw several friends I do not get to see often.  Met friends of MM's whose names I knew & we all liked each other.  Must plan to see them again.  And a barmaid from Hamburg Germany.  She calls me Grandma!  Love it!

    The boys had lots of fun.  I had supper & so did they.  And cupcakes.  I also had a mimosa.  Nice.  I got lots of hugs.  A worker from Jalisco's came in & sat with me.  And gave me tons of hugs. While he drank lots of beer!!

    We were in the small patio & the boys & others were on the large patio also.  I just wanted to be in the shade.

    MM paid my bar tab.  I told him not to do that but it was still nice.  Saying goodbye to MM, boys, his girlfriend, & a good friend of mine.  Nice nice hugs & several "I love you's". was the best.  Must at least text him often.  And he got his band back together so I am going to see them when they open a dance for another band.  Fun.  Always wanted to see him perform!!

    My laptop is not working right.  Irritating.  Today is better.

    Doctor appointment tomorrow.  I am scared to death of the unknown.  Not telling many people.  I tried to tell someone who should care & got ignored.  Will ignore back,

    Weather stayed in the 80s today.  Hotter is coming soon.  I hate summer.  Will be 100F for me here.

    It is true that we have very few family anymore.  The family who really love me were & are in Denver.  Most are gone now.  I know dozens of local people but none are true friends.  I am rarely included in anything.  So I am lonely a lot.  But I now know how much I am loved.  And it feels damn good,

5/2026 - Sunday the 24th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Vanja , Ivan

I have known an Ivan or two.

    Today was a good day.  I slept really good with little pain & no medication reactions.  Whew!!!

    Cinder & Kisse mostly slept in the living room.  Odd.  Who knows about them.  Daisy was excited for breakfast.  She is sweet.  I need to just spend time outside with her.  I feel guilty.  I miss her family & assume they are all dead.  So sad.

    Met with friends N&C from McPherson.  Always a good visit.  Ate at the Pizza Hut & it was quiet.  We dared to talk some politics.  Glad to have friends I can do that with.  And visited with my fave waiter.  Good guy!!!

    Stopped to see my grandson.  Had something for him.  Planning lunch tomorrow at the Sale Barn. Jalisco's is closed.

    Tried to nap when I got home but Cinder wanted attention.  She won.

    Have a tiny tiny chance for rain tonight.  Ha.  Not on my farm.  We always miss out.

    Took flower photos in my driveway.  Then saw a pheasant in the tall grass.  Hard to get a good photo.  They are awful.  He was pretty though.

    Now it is Spanish lesson time.  Ugh. Not in the mood.

Supper.  Garlic bread,  Makes my blood sugar go to high.  I cannot win.
