09/2025 - Viernes the 05th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Adela, Heidi

I have a cousin in Washington state name Adela.  The owner of Jalisco's has a daughter Adela.  A local family have a daughter named Heidi.

    

    I had a good day.  Finally.  I slept fair.  Cinder cuddled from 6am until I got up.  Nice.

    I met LL for lunch at the White Peacock.  MM needed a ride to downtown plus my umbrella.  He walked with me inside.  Nice to have someone worry about me.  I was scared to death today.

    LL & I had a nice lunch & visit.  It is nice on fridays that it is just her & me.  We can discuss work with no one to hear our opinions.  Nice moments.  While we were eating, MH came in for lunch.  He was soooo excited that his art show starts today.  He asked if I am ready!!  I can hardly wait to see it all tomorrow.

    After LL left for work, MM returned to give me my umbrella.  And help me to my car.  After getting to my car without incident, my strong feelings of fear left.  MM is the best!!!  He was off to Salina & some shopping.  He got a bright red Chiefs  shirt.  Nice one.

    Lots of texting between CW & me also.  He is a nice friend.  I am so lucky.  I got this week's newpaper with a huge article about my artist friend RG.  Cannot wait to read it all.  And a delivery guy came to the Old Mill.  He is an artist that I know.  Had a great visit.  He is a fantastic artist.

    Work was good.  I finished the photos I was working on.  Then the next bunch I sorted by size & added names of those I know.  There were some special people in them.  Two Swedish people I remember so well.  One was a great man who was the head of the Stockholm opera.  I spent some nice time with him.  The other was a nice lady I ate almost daily lunches with her & another Swede.  Her daughter was an actress who was up for a movie award like our Oscar.  And we got to see her film.  Great memories.  I actually got started scanning them.

    Then JR & I ate at Jalisco's.  It looks awesome!!  A lady & her daughter who used to live here are back & working in Jalisco's.  She saw me walk in & came to give me a huge hug!!  I was surprised & she made my week!!!  Great to see her!!  I am glad she is here.  We will take care of her here.

    The Bethany College mens soccer team had a match today in Nebraska.  And they won 5-0.  Wow!!! Awesome.  Great start to the year.  Have to try to go to a match or two.

    Home now & tired.  Bed will feel good.

    Photos are many autumn pictures, Halloween, & others.  I love the autumn colors.  Today was heaven.  Our high was around 60F.  Almost cold!!  Rained from 3am until 430pm.  Did not get much but it was awesome weather.

09/2025 - Jueves the 04th - JOURNEY

Marstrand in Sweden.  I road that blue boat back & forth between the island & mainland.  I can see where we ate lunch.  And how I got to my sleeping room. Love being here even though I lost a friendship here.  

Never made it up to the huge building on top of this island.  Steep walk.  Cannot do it.

Today's Name Day:  Gisela

    Same ole day.  Home alone with little human contact.  Still tired.  Slept good last night.  Had a short nap today.  Cinder cuddled most of last night.  Nice.

    Had a few texts from MM & CW.  Those two are such blessings to me.  Shared an AI picture of me with them.  And they talked or laughed at me over it!!!!  Email from JL.  Morning wishes from NGS.

    Stayed cool today.  Rain is now approaching western Kansas.  See if it ignores us here around my house.  Warmer & drier weather starting next week.  Warmer in the 80s as highs.

    Willl try to eat out for lunch & work tomorrow.  Cancelleld going to lunch today.  See how friday goes. 

Last friday after lunch I had my accident.  Scared to go anywhere.  I will work this weekend.  Working for someone.  Not going to take advantage of anyone this weekend.  Plus a new art show from MH.  Plus he talks about his art on sunday.

    Supper was macaroni & cheese.  Me & my plate got to the sofa & I set it down & it promptly tipped over spilling on a blanket.  Surely not my best week.  Luckily it was easy to clean up.  😱. Photo sums up my week.  IYKYK.

    Photos are some old beautiful autumn trees in Lindsborg.  Not here yet.  With our drought maybe nothing pretty this year.  I occasionally see leaves falling off trees now.

 

My family's ancestors' castle, Called Vanås..  I was there twice & walked through the gardens & had ice cream there afterwards.  The gardens are full of art everywhere.

Love this.  Only time I have seen this happen.

                                               

09/2025 - Martes the 02nd - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Justina, Justus

Mom had a cousin Justus.

    Had a good day while out with MM.  Napped when home to help me reccover.  Since my accident my RA is much worse.  Any activity takes me some down time to recover.  And I have many new pains that come & go that I have never had before.  Wonder if I will ever be "normal" again???

    My stress has gotten so much worse.  Worries about great grandkids & MM.  Plus I have a feeling there are things from others that are not truthful to me.  No idea how to respond but I do not have good feelings about things going on, possibly behind my back.  Not sure what to do about it.  If anything.

    Picked up MM for lunch today.  Planned on going to Jalisco's.  There was not a parking spot anywhere near.  There was one around the block so we went to the Sale BARn.  Had my fave sandwhich.  It was quiet.  Wish my friend AA had been working.  He is hard to keep track of.  MM & Ih had time for a long talk.  And some goals we are working on together.  Hope it works out.

    Had a nice nap.  Both cats never saw me before I went to town.  It was early & both were sleeping.  But when I got home they both followed me to nap. Cinder curled up next to me.  Nice.  I needed her.

    I hope to work tomorrow.  I just do not make plans ahead of time.  Have to plan.
