    Not as cold today or last night.  Had to go to town to get my groceries.  Roads were ok in my county but going into the next county is was obvious they had not been treated.  They never are.

    A couple hours after getting home the grocery store called.  They forgot a couple of bags.  So I had to go back in.  Hardly anything those bags.  Never order on a monday after a holiday.  Missing several things.  I will survive.

    I saw the black cat in my drive way.  He or she is gorgeous.  Think she lives at my neighbours.  I have seen a little black kitty here and a gray one.  Hope they stay.

    Nico is nothing but bad tonight.  Somewhere he found an antique post card and chewed it up. Then he had a postal bag.  It had a book in it.  I could not let him tear up a book!!!  It was ugly and he bit my hand but I saved it.  Think I know where it was.  Not where he should be.  And it was not close but he managed to get it.  My water spray bottle is now full.  I am not in a good mood.  Bad enough to be in a sad/bad mood and to have him be bad.  I tried to talk to him quietly.  Did not work nor did yelling.  The older he gets the worse he is.

    Sad to see the snow melt.  Like it would hurt the world if I had something I could enjoy.  More coming mid week but not much.  I can hope they are wrong but about this they are always right.

    Home alone and only saw grocery store employees.  Great day.  Not.  Hard to have no contact with others.

Wandering, 02 january 2022

    Things are even worse than I thought for this round peg trying to be in a square hole!!  I remembered writing a blog on the 31st but could not find it.  Need to learn to open my eyes!!  It was there but I forgot to change the date.  And they let me live alone and even drive!!  Scary!

    Well, we did not get 6 inches of snow like I hoped. Of course not.  I think when it was all said and done I have maybe 3 inches.  Have to look farther away than by the house.  And Nico needed boots on.  I like the cold, snowy yard.  There is no fooling around to see what had been through the yard.  We go out and he takes care of business and we run back in.  Fast!  It is actually cold enough I put on shoes and a jacket!

    Last night I looked out the north window and there sat a rabbit.  Poor baby!  Today I looked out and there were tons of rabbit tracks!  We have many around here.

    They many have been sort of wrong for snow depth but they were right on about the cold.  Our low last night was -2F or -19 C.  Dang!!  We have not been that cold in a long time.  The high today was 25F.  Little melting.  Good.  Snow and more cold are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.  Right now it is 16F.

    I got the best surprise this afternoon.  I saw a man out my living room window.  It was my nephew and his 2 kids.  They came over to water the bulls and decided to clean my car off.  How wonderful!  They are the best.  I am ready to go to town tomorrow!

    I started being very restless last nite and was just sick of it.  Got up and took a pill.  Problem solved.  Slept good and even had a good nap.

    Home alone and only had contact with my brother.  I did send someone a message to a friend but have not heard back.  Probably won't.

    I have rearranged friends on FB.  Switched what a few of them can see.  And I am kind of wary of adding someone I really do not know.  But I recently added 2 men that we had mutual friends.  They are nice and post nice things.  One is in Canada.  And I accidentally added a lady the other day.  She is pleasant and likes things I post and I like her stuff.  Amazing she is better than people who are "real" friends!  You just never know.  I added a guy in Sweden once because I love Sweden and thought he might be fun.  Buuuuut.  It was not long before I saw parts of his body I did not want to see.  I was not looking for that kind of friend.  Blocked him pronto.

Wandering, 01 january 2022

    Where is my mind?  I forgot to blog last night. I swear I wrote it but it is nowhere.  Guess my mood was worse than I thought!  New Years Eve was nothing.  Ate out and went home.  Only texted with my brother.  Heard from no one else.

    Snow started around midnight.  Temp dropped all night.  I saw 10F early this morning.  Continued to drop all day.  Sitting at 7F now.  Had some 35mph winds.  I left my water dripping and so far so good.  I checked during the night.  We were forecast 4-6 inches of snow.  Think we got about an inch.  A friend in Concordia shared some photos.  He got my snow.

    Nico is so funny in the snow.  He does not waste any time outside.  And he goes to sniff and then he inhales some snow and sneezes!  The last time we were out he tried to chase something but it was out in the shed.  All I saw was a bushy tail.  Could have been a cat.  Sort of that kind of color. 

    I got no sleep last night.  A couple of hours this morning.  Tried to nap on the sofa.  I was miserable so the fur kids and I went to the bedroom.  We all slept well.

    I was sort of surprised about people I consider friends who never had me on their happy new year list.  And yet a friend that I don't see often sent me a private wish.  Very nice.  I have rearranged who can see what I post.  Nothing major.  I sort of know who reads what I post often.

    My mood is rather black.  Too many memories.  Most sad and hard to think about.  Did not help my mood.  I always feel like a round peg trying to fit in a square hole.

    I am staying home tomorrow.  Will be far too cold and still slick spots.  And I am so sore.  Last two nights has been my left thumb and right fingers.  My left thumb was just miserable.  Today my back and hands.
