Wandering, 21 january 2022

    I have finally left the house for the first time in 5 days!   What freedom!!  Slept a bit better last night and had a good nap.  I had planned to do some shopping today but did not.  Picked up meds was all I did.

    JR and I ate at Jalisco's.  PM met us there.  They were busy.  But we got good service.  One of the staff had his brother there so he brought him out to meet us.  He seemed nice.  Does not live here but about an hour away from here.

    I was really tired this evening.  When I got home I tried to take a nap but never fell asleep.  Just my RA I guess.  I do see that my pulse gets rather low at times.  Will talk to my doctor about that.  It never stays low but maybe I do not notice.  Mom had a pacemaker.  Who knows.

    Photos are a mix.  One collage is where I was today.  The photo of my window shows the Fur Kids looking for me to come home.  They are always there.  The Puppy Love collage is Nico loving his baby last night.  The last photo is a painting I love.  One of my all time faves!

                

Wandering, 20 january 2022

    Another quiet day and frigid cold weather.  I had thought of going to town but changed my mind.  Too cold to consider it.  We were in the single digits during the night and a balmy 21F this afternoon.  Extreme cold again tonight.  A little warmer this weekend then very cold again.  And the weathermen want us to believe there will be snow.  Ha!

    Nico has a way of sitting with his back to me and then he leans way back.  Sometimes he just sort of fights/plays with me but tonight he was laying up against me and I was rubbing his belly and feet.  And he dosed off.  When he moved he snuggled with his "baby".

    I shampooed my hair tonight.  Not my fave job.  My hair is so thick it takes a while to get it dry.  But done for a short time.

    I have struggled with my Spanish.  I flunked my last test at least 4 times.  It is over 40 questions and you cannot miss more than 3 questions.  Some of my errors are just plain stupidity ---- spelling, adding a word in English instead of Spanish.  So this afternoon I started early!  And I went slow and careful.  I only missed one.  I take notes and most of the separate test areas I have had 2 pages of notes.  This one I had at least 6 pages!!  But today I passed!!!  I celebrated by starting the next area.  Seems easy but that is false.  It will get difficult later.  But I learn as I go.  I enjoy ordering my food in the proper way, etc.  We always have ice cream after we eat.  I am proud of being able to order 3 bowls --- 2 with chocolate and 1 without.  My friend JS was so proud of me the first time.  He listened and smiled and never had to help.  I was a bit proud of me too.

    Watching the Mysteries of the Abandoned on the Science Channel.  They had a couple of abandoned towns in Idaho.  Both falling apart but they told the history.  A 2 day drive from here.  Maybe in the spring if Covid is better.  A fun road trip with lots of chances for unique photos.

    Speaking of Covid it is on a rage here.  In my county alone we have 11 clusters of Covid.  From schools, sports, business, etc.  Makes one scared to go anywhere but yet in my town seeing anyone with a mask on is almost rare.  One nurse was interviewed and she said most of their patients are unvaccinated.  And because of them many of the health care workers will end up with PTSD.  Sad and caused by many lies and uneducated.

Wandering, 06 january 2022

    A frigid cold day.  The low last night was 4F and our high today was 10F.  Still at 10F now.  I had cranked the heater up while I showered then turned it back down.  Did not take long to cool off.  AND.  We had snow overnite.  It was beautiful falling during the night.  I love it.  I managed to brave the cold for a few photos.

    When my nephew was here feeding his bulls he came up to the house to clean off my car.  He is the best.  Ready to go for a drive!

    Home alone again today.  Hopefully will go eat tomorrow evening.  Will be warmer tomorrow.  I am handling being alone a bit better than usual.  Maybe all the birthday wishes helped.  I rarely hear from anyone on FB.  Sort of given up.  Started just keeping quiet.  My friend from Morocco has checked on me several times over night and today to make sure I am ok.  He is special.

    Finally Nico is asleep.  He was getting into things for a while after supper.  Same for Kisse.  She has started tipping over their water dish.  Why?  Traded the large bowl for a tiny one.  She still does it.  No idea how to stop her.  Need to get a pet one that does not tip.  She is usually good.

    In my genealogy I have found a few ancestors from Lativa.  I know nothing about that country.  I have looked it up and learned quite a lot.  It is a beautiful country and good to live in.  They speak Lativan and/or Russian & English.  Average income is around $27,000.  The poorest country in Europe is the Ukraine and the richest country is Luxembourg.  Latvia looks like a good place to visit.  Wish I could still travel.

    Photos are snow ones I took.  The tall narrow one is bird tracks.  A bird landed on the porch and hopped down to each step.  Or he hopped up to the porch.  Saw no other tracks but Nico.
