Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 363....

A very quiet day. Slept better last night. Headache and tinnitus both gone.

Gorgeous weather. Partly cloudy. Not a hint of wind. Nico and I sat outside for a while. Relaxing. We were serenaded by my crows. After we went inside I saw the black cat stroll by. I think he was on our porch. Nico sure did sniff the steps and around the porch.

Had a long phone visit with my cousin. I miss family so much. We had a good visit.

JS and I had a short video chat. Miss him too! But that he works at the restaurant I do see him more often.

Always be kind to others.

Photos are nothing special. Just a mix of things I have taken. Some edited. The pumpkin pie is not my photo, just my fantasy!

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 359....

Had a nice day. Warm with no wind for our weather. Rain is forecast with a flood watch this weekend.. They have even extended the watch, I live on high ground but roads going to town can flood. Plus my driveway has a low spot that floods in heavy rain when a creek runs full.

Had an appointment with my financial advisor. I worry too much! Will make some changes and he is encouraging me to plan for a trip I dream about. Time will tell.

I parked by Dollar General so I shopped for dog bones, cat food, and lunch meat. Happy Fur kids!

Treated myself to Sonic ice cream and cherry Coke. Perfect.

Finally drove through the car wash. Still some salt on my car from our cold snap.

I was out after dark. Saw two cows by the fence. Creepy to see their eyes!! Sometimes I see cat eyes also.

Nico is a terror tonight. Maybe the big weather change that is coming. He has gotten into everything not his. He has had treats and a bit of people food. And been outside a dozen times. He has a bad habit of scratching my legs. A tap is ok but furiously scratching when he wants something hurts bad. Surprised my legs are not scarred,

A good friend had his Covid vaccine shot yesterday. His arm was sore last night. I told him all the things he might feel today. I just called to check. He is miserable. Sore all over, feels like he has the flu, eyes burning, tired. Hope tomorrow is better. Looking forward to my second shot next week. Hope it goes good but not holding my breath.

Always be kind to others.

Photos today are mostly local photos except one.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 348....

Had a nice day. Less wind and warm. Awoke to my crows near my house and having a chat with each other. Tonight there are young bunnies running in my back yard.

I was excited to text with a good friend who was traveling and was sick in a hospital. Today he is back in his country and looks great. I miss him. Glad he is ok.

During last night I kept getting notices from one of my safety cams about movement. Nothing ever showed. Then finally there was a collie looking dog. Probably from one of our neighbours. He caused no problems.

Today I have few pains. Little headache. Still extra tired. Glad to be better.

Had more photos of my great grandsons. Working on a collage to share. They sure brighten my day.

Always be kind to others.

Photos today are a mix.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 232......

A busy day, for me anyway. I slept so-so. The weather is too warm for me. The house got far too warm. Had the ac on a bit.

I took myself out to eat for lunch. Dined high on hog - Arbeys. Then over to Dillons to get my grocery order. Think I will stick with them. Can order anytime and get it delivered within hours. And the mostly have what I want. And no limit on what you must spend.

Late afternoon I took 2 bags of trash out. First time I did it and not JR. He moved the bins closer to the house and that makes a big difference.

This morning I had a murder of crows near the front yard. I could see them and they were really loud! Fun for me. Maybe they are planning to go south.

Tonite I sat outside for a bit. A male deer with nice large rack passed through my pasture and driveway. But, of course, I had no camera with me. Dang.

Most days at home I am mostly alone. And I feel like no one remembers me. But today was different. First a friend sent a sweet message of maybe getting together. Then my friend from Morocco wrote a nice message. We send a message almost daily to each other. And the best was a long chat from my friend RW in Ireland. He has some suggestions for my loneliness. I laughed so hard!!!  I like them all!!! Made my day. I am grateful for you all!!!

Nico thinks he must sit where I am. He does not understand I will move when done with my blog. He is now laying across my shoulders. He is so stubborn!

Photos today are old ones and some not mine. Celebrating Day of the Dead of Mexico. Also are photos of some family/friend graves when I lit a candle on them like the  Swedes do on All Saints Day. Wish that was a custom here. Should have gone to Willie's grave. Will next year.

It is amazing what a short note or call can do for someone else. I was blessed today.
