 International Beer Day

    What a busy week!!  In the last week I have worked 4 days!  All fun ones!

    I slept pretty good last night.  Especially since we had a thunderstorm.  Great sleeping in the rain, thunder, & lightning.  Might be the same tonight.

    I worked at SVAFC today.  New art was up.  I loved it all!  One artist but several different styles.  Enjoyable.

    A visiter came in & stayed for at least an hour.  Great conversation.  Talked about old high school gossip, local people, stores, more gossip, etc.  Best of all we remembered that his mother was close to my 2 Denver aunts & a cousin in Oklahoma.  They all went to school together.  And for all their lives they wrote a round robin letter.  When they all got old they could not but still knew what was what in the others lives.  When my one aunt died, I knew I had to my friend's mother.  She had to know.  She cried.  I cried.  I enjoyed our visit so much today.  Wish we were closer friends.

    Before work the lady who was to unlock for me got busy.  I sat outside for a bit.  It was amazing that all those who walked by I did not know.  But we all greeted each other & chatted.  There are people I know in town who would not do that.  I think when I feel unloved, I will just go sit on that bench for a while.  Will renew my spirit in people.

    I was a bit late getting home.  I was scared that Nico had pottied somewhere inside.  He had not.  Had not even drank much.  All 3 fur kids must have just vegged out all day!  Cinder finally went out when I got home tonight.

    Supper was in McPherson at Dairy Queen with JR.  Had burgers & malts.  Hit the spot!!  

    JR just sent an article about how healthy malt is.  It is sprouted barley that unlocks enzymes.  Can be further processed to be liquid or powder.  It is healthy.  It helps athletes recover, causes happiness (well duh!), & has antioxidents.  And more.  More malts in my future.

    Gas in Lindsborg was $3.55.  In McPherson it was $3.25.  I filled up.  Easy to drive there.

    Last night I shoved my thumb into part of the car port.  With lots of force.  My fingernail broke down to the skin.  Really sore today.  YIkes!

27 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Compared to last week, today was the best day in a long time.  Of course, nothing beats last monday.  It was awesome!!  I slept good & warm weather with no storms.  There were storms last night but not here.  We got rain, some wind, but no tornados, no hail.

    I had my SoftWave treatment at my chiropractor's office.  Going well.  He is a very nice man.  I will be sad when we are done.

    Then I treated myself to a chocolate dip cone.  Too good for words.  That whole area of McPherson had all I needed without driving around.  Very nice.

    Went to my bank to make a deposit.  The lady who waited on me said I was eligible for a special checking account with lots of extras.  Why has no one else told me that??  Slackers.  Plus she is sending me checks to use.  Very nice lady.

    Next I got fuel for my car.  For a couple of weeks fuel prices in McPherson have been $3.04, but in Lindsborg they are $3.19.  Thank goodness I have a weekly appointment so I can get cheaper fuel.  That is a big savings.  Why???

    Back to my home town I picked up medication then went through the car wash.

    Two upsetting things are last night I found out some family thinks I am not a good person & never helped them.  I have tried but such is life.  And today I know that someone I would do anything for just does not have time for me.  I understand but it hurts.  No one seems to care what I might need.  A kind caring word would help.  Oh well.  I do know that at least that person cares.  I thought the first one did too.

    I had frozen waffles for supper.  They were awful.  Heated them too long.  Need to just not buy them anymore.  Should have had a tv dinner.  Live & learn.

13 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Quiet day.  Slept good.  Nice.  Cinder in all night.  Warm day so she stayed out after I got home this afternoon.

    Today was my SoftWave treatment.  Down to only once a week.  See how that goes.  Better today.  Not as many painful places.  And between treatments I have much less pain.  A miracle.

    Fuel in McPherson is much cheaper than in Lindsborg.  Lindsborg is $3.19.  But McPherson is now $3.04.  That is a big savings.  And I filled my tank

    I got my weekly chocolate dip ice cream cone.  Just nice.  The owner of the Dairy Queen is friendly & nice.  Nice to be around someone who is a good guy.  And treats me nice.

    Then I drove around & took some photos.  First of the hospital.  I went to LPN school there.  But not in the old building.  I was in a different building.  Then the courthouse.  It is a gorgeous building --- inside & out.  Across the street is the Warren Building.  Many years ago it was a hotel.  I went to a classmate's birthday party there in the ballroom on the second floor.  Fancy affair.  Large group.  Live band.  I can still see my dress.  Finally at home with my welcoming group.  And ending with Nico's Baby who was on the sofa with me.  It is soooo old & no rips.

    In the Warren Building now is a great Mexican restaurant, Tres Amigos.  Need to go there again.  Also lots of offices.

    I am glad the 14th is almost over.  Then no more holidays that matter.  I should drive to get me a special meal for supper.  See how I feel.

    It was 63 today.  Rain comes later tonight.  Winter storm watch starting wednesday evening.  Be nice to get some snow but not holding my breath.

                    

07 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Had a quiet day with little sleep.  But feel ok.  I had an early chiropractor app't.  My pain has been under control this last weekend.  My SoftWave treatment went well.  Knee had fewer pain spots.  But my back made up for it.    

    After my appointment I went to Dairy Queen for lunch.  It is just down the street.  I could barely eat my meal.  Only barely half of fries & two thirds of my burger.  Dessert was better.  Felt sort of awful.

    I took my new shot  for weight loss yesterday.  Think it is working today.  No appetite.  At suppertime I wanted nothing to eat.  I did but could not eat all I had fixed.  Good?  Bad?  I was warned this would happen.

    I took a nice nap this afternoon.  I was really tired & fatigued.  I got a new med to help me sleep.  See if it works.  I work tomorrow but if I am as nauseated tomorrow I may cancel the entire day.  Work & Jalisco's.  What next???

    JS & SM video chatted live with me last night.  Great to see & hear them.  JS is a new man.  What a miracle getting away from stress will do.  He is really happy.  Makes me happy.  And seeing them makes me feel less alone.  JS texted me today & sent photos.

    Our low was 28F last night.  Better for sleep.  High today was cooler at 53F.  Rain starts wednesday evening & through thursday.  Maybe some snow mixed in.  Time will tell.
