26 august, 2022 Wandering

     I have nothing good to say about last night.  Nothing.  Nico barked at least 4 times during the night.  It was hard to sleep.  And I hurt more than usual.  I finally moved to the sofa & slept a couple of hours in the morning.  I tried to nap & again no sleep.  I had a major anxiety attack that continued through supper.

    I hope the changing weather is what was bothering both Nico & I.  Sort of better now.

    I had to get to the bank by 430pm.  I planned on being organised.  Ha.  Took Nico forever to do his business outside.  Then I had to feed Cinder.  I went to get the mail & the UPS man showed up so I took the package in my car.  I left my house around 405pm.  I made it with 10 minutes to spare!!!

    Then I picked up JR for supper at Jalisco's.  They got fairly busy & lots of take out orders.  It was just the two of us.

    CT always shakes my hand for goodbye. Then he asks me "Cuando?"  When will you return.  He always tries to get me to say "Mañana?" Tomorrow?  I never say yes but tonight I said "Mañana".  He looked surprised.  He said tomorrow & Saturday in English!!  He makes my day!!

    Cinder was here most of the day.  But the black cat was here this afternoon.  Hope he is home now.  He is a gorgeous long haired cat.

    Photos are more Colorado photos.  Ending up in Silverton CO.  Love it there.  The bus in the second photo is the bus I was on.  The bar is in a restored Victorian hotel.  Awesome.  Stayed there.

                    

25 august, 2022 Wandering

    Not a bad day.  Weather is ok.  Low of 65F & a high of 93F.  Sat out a couple of times but not too long.  Just too warm for me.  But it could be worse.  Possible rain over the weekend & through monday.  Time will tell.

    Cinder left last night after eating.  She went down off the porch & would not come back.  But big surprise.  She was here before lunch.  Then late this afternoon I had Nico outside.  He always checks under the car looking for her.  He kind of acted like she was there & I thought probably not.  But here she came!!  I wonder if the black cat keeps her away.  I have not seen him for 2 days.  That is fine.  I try not to feed him.  He can go home for feed.

    Nothing going on today.  Will do a Covid test this evening.  I am sure it is negative.  At least I hope so.  There was a video I saw where it shows how quickly Covid spreads from someone who has it in a room.  Just his breathing normally with no coughing or sneezing.  You could see how quickly his germs spread.  The person I got it from had dinner or supper in a restaurant.  Part way through eating she could not taste anything & everyone in there had been exposed.  And the news is so confusing.  Local news says Covid is growing but the national news Covid is decreasing.  Odd.

    I slept fitfully & tried to nap but just rested.  JS video chatted last night & again when I was napping.  Good to feel cared for.

12 august, 2022 Wandering

    Had a so-so night between the bed & the sofa.  The weather is just typical Kansas weather.  Nothing special.  I ignore the weather anymore.  Seems I always get it wrong so no need to pay attention to tell others the wrong info.

    Something makes me feel that voicing how I feel has upset the apple cart.  But I worked very hard to be in a good mood today.  Hope I succeeded.

    JR, PM, & I had supper at Jalisco's.  JS came to tell me there was no ice cream for dessert for us.  In fact there were NO desserts for us to order.  Ha!  CT was near so I asked him if there was flan in the kitchen.  No only did he say there was he said "I pay!"  Well, that works for me!!  But I made sure JS told him it was a joke!  But good to know someone loves me!

    The artist who is unlocking the gallery & locking it back up was in Jalisco's tonight.  We had a nice chat.  I really like him & wish we were closer friends.  He is one cool guy & love his art.  I am lucky he even speaks to me!!!

    So far Nico is calm.  So far.  Hope it lasts.  I hope to be rested for work tomorrow.  Good weekend.

    Photos are more from my bus trip. Still in Colorado.  How I wish I was.  I sort of have an idea of a short trip to one town on the way to Denver.  Just a break.  Think about it.  Or maybe a day or two in Salina.  Does not matter where.  Will be only me.

Oh this photo makes me shudder.  We all HAD to play Bingo.  I could never win.  In a normal game I could easily not get one number called.  In the game of getting NO numbers called, any of mine are called first.  Never ever could win!!

I think this is the train we rode that went under the Royal Gorge.  I love trains & will ride one anywhere!!

11 august, 2022 Wandering

    Nice day & slept good.  Great weather but a bit warmer.  But no way to help. This is Kansas after all.

    I had a hair app't with HP.  So nice to have him shampoo & style my hair.  Better than me with cool water.  I have an app't next week also.  Will do this as long as he has a time for me.  Just seeing him lifts my spirits.  And getting a hug is a plus.

    I came home long enough to take Nico out & fix my make up.

    The Red Barn has one of my fave artists there this month.  We had lunch this evening.  Had a long talk.  He is good for me.  And he gave me some great news.  In one year another artist friend will be here from Nigeria.  I am so excited!!  He will be here for a month also.

    Jalisco's was pretty busy tonight.  CT was sweet as usual.  His smile does my heart good!  And attention & friendship & caring from JS is so important to my well being.  I was headed to the kitchen to tell CT good bye.  We had a short conversation in Spanish.  And my artist friend understood us!!

    Spanish is going well.  This lesson is too easy.  I may be sorry when I start a new one!!!  But it is cool I can read the sentences & answer correctly.

    I saw lights in the pasture earlier.  Probably KN doing something.  Weird to see in the dark.

    I found a large white feather with a tint of brown on the end of it.  Feathers are important to find.  Means an angel was here.  I wonder who?  I always save them.  Also a dragonfly flew through the car port. Cool.

    Photos today are from the best bus trip I ever had.  We went to Colorado, New Mexico, Utah.  I love all of it.  The friend I was traveling with decided that we were no longer friends.  A difficult time for me.  But, by god, I had a great time.  I refused to let her control my life.  I shed a few tears & life went on.  Instead of pouting & glowering at me like her.

                        

This house is over a hotel we stayed in.  This is Cañon City Co.  It was recently built but no one can live in it.  The builder built it on unstable land.  Bet there was a huge lawsuit over this!!

These 2 photos are on a campus of a place where monks live. We ate there.  And the monks now make wine.  Wish we could have toured it.

    Today was a great day!!!!  Took my car to Assaria & had the new part installed.  It feels odd to go the speed limit!!  Instead of creeping to save fuel.  It did not take very long & did not cost very much.  I had some animal poo on my hood & I asked if he could wash it off.  I guess he got lots of jokes!!!  Gives them something to talk about!!

    I managed time for a short nap.  Sleep was elusive last night.  I finally gave up & moved to the sofa.  Then I slept.

    JR, PM, & I had supper at Jalisco's.  I treated myself to carne asada. (steak)  It was awesome tonight!!  Been a year or two since I ordered it.  Business was steady.  JS had a moment of totally getting to me!  He was still laughing when I left.  He is good for my soul.

    Last night JS called me to check to make sure I am ok  How nice that was.  Nice to have someone who cares to check.  I told him so.
