National Day of the Cowboy

I am not a particular fan of western stuff but this photos reminds me of Utah.  Love the land there.  Would love to return.

Today's Name Day: Marta

    A nice day at home.  No plans plus I slept pretty good & had a nice nap.  Both cats were lazy & did not wake me up early.

    I had things I wanted to do but no energy.  And too much pain.  So I rested.

    MM wrote to me & said he bring me supper tonight.  He works at the American Legion.  Last night they had a Swedish meal.  I really wanted to go but was afraid I would end up going alone & sitting alone.  I am not a member & not really friends with anyone who is.  But he brought me food from there.  Excellent.  Swedish meatballs, potatis skorv, potatoes, green beans.  I added a pudding cup.  And lingonberries on the meat balls,  Excellent meal!!

    MM & I had a long texting session last night.  We were honest & open with each other.  I treasure moments like that.  I am so grateful he lives close,  Not many people I can depend on but he is one.

    Weather was ok today.  Saw 93F for our high.  Last nice day for a week.  Tuesday & Wednesday are to be 110F.  Yikes!!  I am more than ready for autumn.

    When MM called & said he would be here soon, I went outside to sit with Cinder.  I know how much she misses Cinder to be with.  So she stayed close to me. I gave her lots of petting & she gave it back.  She climbed & ran.  And stretched out.  I took photos the entire time.  Those are my photos tonight

    While sitting outside a deer came running from the north, across my driveway, & south to our pond.  I was hoping it would come back but never did.  I got no photo.  Usually there is a couple together.  He was not too big,  And while out a turkey vulture flew over Cinder & I.  Huge shadow!!!  Probably hoping we were dying!!!  What a buffet for them!

                                

03 march, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Not a bad day.  Too quiet.  I had a bad moment but survived.  The fur kids & I had a good nap.  Cinder cuddled most of last night.  She loves me & shows me often.

    JR & I were supposed to get my grandson from work today but someone else did.  So we were off the hook.  I wanted Swedish pancakes so we went to the Crown & Rye.  I ended up with Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, & gravy.  For a side I ordered Citrus Quinoa.  It was just ok.  Not bad but won't order again.  They were super busy in the front restaurant & the back bar.  Great!!  Good to see.

    No clouds tonight.  I could see Venus & Jupiter plain as day.  Took several photos.

    Got home & JS video chatted for a while.  So nice to see him happy & unstressed.  Miss him but glad he moved away where no one can hurt him again.  I was really tired of those who did not care.

    Photos are from tonite, photos of the planets, & since it is Friday, some cocktail photos.  Wish I had someone who liked to have a drink now & then.  Would be fun, but that was so looong ago.

                    

04 December, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Not a good day or night.  I was ok while working but my sciatica pain kept increasing after I got home.  Walking became a challenge.  I had trouble sleeping since no matter what position I laid in, I still hurt.  No pain ointments made a difference.

    I cancelled lunch today.  Traipsing to the bathroom was all I was up to.  I wanted to eat out.  I felt guilty but it mattered not.  I hoped of maybe eating out tonight but I cancelled that also.

    I felt ok for the first part of my nap but then the pain got worse.  Sorry.  I am whining way too much.  Will quit.

    Cinder has been here all day.  No black cat.  I have wet cat food & I thought that Kisse did not like it.  But I am out of dry food & Kisse has been getting the wet food.  And she loves it!!  She begs for it.  I think she has gained a little weight.  When I am putting it on her plate, she even rubs my hand with her head.

    Yesterday Lindsborg had its yearly Snowflake Parade.  Very informal.  If you want to be in it just show up.  Santa is there.  I missed it this year.  It is usually cute & fun.  The street is not closed.  Get there early & park  Then watch from the back of your car.

    Stayed cold last night & today.  A bit warmer tomorrow then cool again.  Chance of rain or snow midweek  We need it so much.  And western Kansas is just plain hurting for moisture.  So sad.

    Took Nico out before supper & my nephew KN was watering his bulls.  We got to chat a bit.  Nice to see him.  He stood my trash bins up that had been scattered in the high winds.  Glad there was no trash in them.  What a mess.

    I did have a good supper.  Swedish meatballs over noodles with lingonberries added.  Love it!!
