29 December, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Had an eventful day.  The best day!  Weather was mild.  Stayed too warm last night with a little breeze.  Today was ok.  Had up to 5 inches of snow in the NW of Kansas.  Dang.  Should have taken a road trip there!!!  We have a chance for rain or snow on Monday.

    My nephew, KN & his uncle, TJ came to fix my water heater.  This is a long going saga.  Not a happy one.  It leaked in my bedroom & hall.  Ruined carpet, etc.  Someone came out to stop the leak.  That was as far as he went.  Then a hot water heater was bought.  That is another saga.  But it was never installed.  Got installed but no electricity.  TJ is an electrician so today after a lot of figuring & getting a new part, I have hot water.  Those 2 are the best!!!  Washing my hair in hot water on saturday.  It is freshly washed now.  I can wait!!

    While work on the water heater was taking place the fur kids were in the bedroom.  And Nico barely barked.  But he knows KN so he was not so worried.  At some point I looked out the window.  I saw TJ walking outside with what looked like Nico!!  I got so panicked I checked the bedroom.  Nico was there.  TJ has a chihuahua too & they sort of look alike.  We laughed!!

    After having 2 extra cats here who chased Cinder away, yesterday & today were so nice.  Cinder came back home around 9pm last night.  And stayed home today.  The black cat is ok but the old orange one is a trouble maker.  (update.  Both male cats were fighting on the porch.  Nico got scared & jumped.  I yelled at them so they ran.)

    I have a young man I am friends with in Bangledesh.  We have been friends for years.  He is now working & living on his own.  He calls me Mom.  I asked why but I still am clueless.  Maybe a term of respect.  He has a family & mother.  We texted an extra long time tonight.  Nice to hear from him.

    Pretty much a quiet day.  Winter photos again.  None are mine.

                

    

15 December, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Quiet, uneventful day.  Waiting on grandsons to come out.  Sounds like they are on the way.  I have both fur kids in the bedroom.  Hopefully they get here soon or I will have to turn them out.  But for now it is peaceful.  I can sit where I want on the sofa!  Did get a short nap.    

    Slept good last night.  But no idea what happened while I was sleeping.  Got up to take Nico out & the blanket was turned all around!  Must have been quite  dream!

    I watched Disney A Christmas Carol last night.  It was excellent.  Great effects.  I loved every minute of it.  Watching an old version on sunday.  Not the original though.

    Finished the Harry & Meghan documentery.  Very interesting.  I have a lot of feelings about it but will keep them to myself.  No one cares or I will get made fun of.

    I got my water heater.  One grandson delivered it with his girlfriend.  It is an interesting heater.  Will see if it is ok  If it does not work out, will replace it & have him buy me one & replace it.  Been an interesting afternoon.  Needed new connections so will finish tomorrow.

    I put both fur kids in the bed room.  Nico did not care other than barking when he heard strange noises.  Kissekatt went crazy after I let her out.  Racing around!!

    Photos today are mostly of snow plus one from a Swedish church of where you light candles for others.  When I was in Sunnemo Sweden there was a very old lady lighting a candle.  She had to be in her 80s.  She said to me in Swedish "for my mother".  I got tears.  The Swedish sounds much like the English.

                    

11 october, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Had a pretty good day.  Had to get up really early for my grandson to come here to check my water heater.  Got more sleep than I expected. 

    MK thinks he has it pretty much figured out.  While here I had him look at my back door that I cannot get open.  There was nothing broken on it but it was just stuck.  I never open or use that door but I will try to open it a couple of times a week.  And with getting a new water heater & needing my propane hooked up to my heater, the back door makes it all easier.

    I had some errands in town one of which was picking up groceries.  Food here again!!!  But I forgot cookies!!

    I had another low blood sugar reading so I am lowering my insulin a little.  I ordered some glucose tablets but they are gummies.  And they are delicious!!  Not sure how good they work but I will learn.

    Good weather.  Temps were 62F & 83F.  Winds have come up with the cold front getting near.  I like it as it keeps the bugs away.  But it puts us in a fire alert.  One would think people would know to be careful but that rarely happens.

    The box on my lawn chair seems to be Cinder's favorite place to sleep.  With our high winds the box was in danger of flying away.  I put something heavy in it.  With rain coming I might bring it in the house.  What we do for out "kids"!

    Photos today are of my winter birds from when I fed the birds.  I need to do that again but I need to decide where to do it.  Not close to the house because of mice.

    So sad to see how the Ukraine is treated but they are gaining.  And how women are treated in Iran.  I never understand how people can be cruel to others.  Russia is just scary for the entire world.  On Instagram I follow a opera singer who was shot many times.  He helped get people out of his country.  They thought he might not sing again, but he is singing great!
