A good day although there was no celebration for Easter for us here. No family/friends to be with. Great weather. Warm & calm. Kids out a couple of times but long time tonight.
I tried to take a nice, relaxing nap but it was mostly a waste of time. Tried on the sofa. Nico kept wanting to go out. So we went out. He just wanted to play. Then I tried in bed. Something made him bark often. No idea what. Kept me partially awake.
Our Easter family dinner was at Pizza Hut. Two of the Jalisco cooks were there. Good to see them. I got several hugs. Always good. The Hut even had Easter candy on each table. Nice treat & a bowl of candy where you pay. It was a nice but quiet meal. We are used to it being just the 2 of us. Three years after Mom died, our aunt called & admitted she had "forgotten" that we had no one to be with. Took her 3 years. I turned down her invite as it was obviously she did not care. Nor did any other family. Alone is good.
Came home & sat on my rocking bench with the fur kids. Fun to watch Cinder hide & run around. Who knows what she is thinking of! Nico found the dead snake & played with it. I double checked it was the dead one. (Shutter)
Tried to call JS but he was already asleep. He did send a short reply. Try again this week.
Photos today are vintage Easter cards. Better than new ones by far. There are 4 languages.
