Not a bad day. Cool night and warm day. Clouds cleared and we had sun. Made everyone happy but farmers. We are officially in the severe drought area of Kansas. Eastern Kansas is out of the drought but not the rest of us. Several chances for rain tomorrow and twice next week.
I have a Mexican TV station on. Oh, how I wish my spanish was better!! The US National Soccer team plays the Mexico National team tonight. I can pick out easy words like "but" but not the interesting words. Do not need to understand the match except the most important word --- GOOOOOOOOOAL!!! The Mexican announcers are the best!
Oh the prairie is beautiful today. The pond and grasses are calm. Earlier the cattle much had been fed hay. They were in a long line! Fun to see!! Yesterday we had 6 calves! Fun to watch them play! Especially when the form a mob and run!!
My nephew said we had 1.5" of rain. Great!! Got my gauge turned right now. Ready for the next rain.
I was just out and moved my trash bins. See if they stay standing more often. And I can still drive out of the drive way. Also a short trip to put trash in them. Hope this works. Even if they tip they may not blow over to the fence!! Trash men will not like it. See if they move them back where I want them.
This weekend is Vaffeldagen in town. I stay home. They dress up like waffles and sell them. Not my thing. Maybe JR and I can drive to eat in a place I have not been to in a while. Great food and they make homemade bread. Excellent.
