Día largo

¡¡¡Que día tan largo!!! Tengo tal vez 4 horas para dormir. Tal vez. Tomé una bebida energética cuando me levanté y usé un aceite esencial para obtener energía. Debe haber ayudado.

Tuve que ir a la farmacia primero hoy. Estaba sin tiras de prueba para diabéticos para mi medidor de azúcar en la sangre. Tenía que tener todo lo que tenían. ¡DIOS MIO! Por 100 tiras, pagué $ 212. Eso es increible. He ordenado lo mismo de Amazon por $ 69. No me escaparé de nuevo.

Luego almorcé con mi hija. Todo bien. Estaban ocupados! ¡Pero no tan ocupado que JS no pudiera molestarme! Cuando salí de Jalisco recibí un abrazo especial, un dulce beso en la mejilla y un abrazo maravilloso. Uno podría pensar que esta noche es mi noche. Decir ah. De ninguna manera.

Después de Jalisco, me fui a Hutchinson KS para ver a mi médico diabético. Todo está bien. O será después de todo, la cortisona se sale de mi sistema. Mi nivel de azúcar en la sangre era tan alto que estuve enfermo la mayor parte de la noche. Fue como si no me hubieran diagnosticado. Y nunca tengo dolores de cabeza, pero me dolía la cabeza toda la noche. No me sorprende que haya tenido problemas para dormir.

Me tomé un helado en Sonic's en Hutchinson antes de conducir a casa. Tan alto como es mi nivel de azúcar en la sangre, no importa lo que como. Un poco de diversión por un tiempo.

De vuelta en la farmacia en el camino a casa. Gastar dinero como lo tengo.

Conduje a Hutchinson con Chayanne y conduje a casa con Pit Bull. Ahora hay fantasía Si solo....

Long Day

What a long day!!! I got maybe 4 hour sleep. Maybe. Had a power drink when I got up and used an essential oil for energy. Must have helped.

Had to go to the pharmacy first today. I was out of diabetic test strips for my blood sugar meter. I had to have whatever they had. OMG! For 100 strips I paid $212. That is unbelievable. I have ordered the same from Amazon for $69. I will not run out again.

Then I had lunch with my daughter. All good. They were busy!! But no so busy that JS could not tease me! When I left Jalisco's I got a special hug, a sweet kiss on my cheek, and a wonderful hug. One would think that tonight is my night. Ha. Not a chance.

After Jalisco's I was off to Hutchinson KS to see my diabetic doctor. All is well. Or will be after all the cortisone gets out of my system. My blood sugar was so high I was sick most of the night. It was like I had not been diagnosed. And I never get headaches but my head throbbed all night. No wonder I had trouble sleeping.

I treated my self to a sundae at Sonic's in Hutchinson before I drove home. As high as my blood sugar is, it makes no difference what I eat. Kind of fun for a little while.

Back at the pharmacy on the way home. Spending money like I have it.

I drove to Hutchinson with Chayanne and drove home with Pit Bull. Now there is fantasy. If only....

Un día de agujas!

Estuve despierto temprano hoy y en Salina. Tenía una cita en la oficina de mi ortopoligista para recibir una inyección en mi rodilla. Él tiene una nueva oficina. Es muy agradable. Piensa que hay 4 doctores, PAs y rehabilitación.

Realmente no duele, solo por unos segundos. Anestesió mi rodilla primero. Entonces no solo inyectó cortisona sino que retiró un poco de líquido. Bastante cierto. Sin cirugía todavía Radiografías en 4 meses.

¡Qué alegría hoy en realidad caminar! Ojalá pudieran mantenerlo entumecido todo el tiempo. Debería ser una forma. Bueno por un día.

Luego comí un delicioso almuerzo en Sonic. Viviendo el sueño

La última parada fue Lindsborg para cambiar toda mi medicina de Abilene a Lindsborg. Conseguir demasiado para llegar a la insulina si el clima es malo y no pueden enviarlo por correo. Odio cambiar

Tomó una larga siesta. Juro que estaba despierto hasta casi las 5 a. M. No tengo idea por qué. Tomando una pastilla esta noche. Espero eso ayude.

Primera foto soy yo hace "unos" años con el pelo rubio hasta la cintura. Hice eso dos veces cuando era joven.

           

A Day of Needles!

I was up fairly early today and in Salina. Had an appointment at my orthopoligist's office to have an injection in my knee. He has a new office. It is really nice. Think there are 4 doctors, PAs and rehab.

It does not really hurt, just for a few seconds. He numbed my knee first. Then he not only injected cortisone but he withdrew some liquid. Quite a bit actually. No surgery yet. X-rays in 4 months.

What a joy today to actually just walk! Wish they could keep it numbed up all the time. Should be a way. Good for one day.

Then I had a delicious lunch at Sonic. Livin' the dream

Last stop was Lindsborg to change all my medicine over from Abilene to Lindsborg. Getting too hard for me to get there for insulin if the weather is bad and they cannot mail. Hate to change.

Took a long nap. I swear I was awake until almost 5am. No idea why. Taking a pill tonight. Hope it helps.

Lunes

Tranquilo toda la tarde. Luego comí en la tarde de Jalisco. No comí mucho ---- chips de harina y queso. Tuvimos una agradable visita con JS. Fueron creados para un gran grupo cuando me fui. ¡Ojalá me hubiera quedado para ver quiénes eran! Espero que hayan dado propina!

Clase sueca esta noche. El último semestre tuvimos 30 personas en clase. Este semestre alrededor de 10. De hecho, lo disfruto más con menos. Tenemos atención individual. Hablamos más y hacemos más preguntas. Esta noche practicamos algunas oraciones simples, como Hello y How are you. Escuchó y habló junto con un CD. Y luego tuvimos que escribir un breve párrafo. Escribimos lo que pudimos en sueco y palabras que no sabíamos en inglés. Luego buscamos esas palabras. De hecho, aprendí 2 palabras nuevas. ¡Bueno!

Día cálido. Estoy seguro de haber perdido el invierno que nunca fue. Me pone triste. Tengo lo opuesto al desorden afectivo estacional. Me deprimo en verano, no en invierno. No creo que eso le importe a nadie más que a mí.

Mi dolor es un poco menos hoy. Manos empeorando. De miedo. Espero que mi próxima vida aquí sea mucho mejor. Y que recuerdo lo mala que era esta vida.

El domingo un buen amigo me dio un regalo especial. Un collage de fotos de un fotógrafo local. Y de las fotos tiene otro buen amigo. ¡Estoy muy emocionado con eso! ¡Debo enmarcarlo!
