I am sort of suffering after my fall yesterday. My usual RA pains but a few more added. Hard to find a comfy position all last night. Today is better. I even napped without discomfort.
This morning was so peaceful. I cannot tell if the pond is thawed or not. No sun shining on it and no breeze. A nice calm morning. Beautiful prairie.
I went to Lindsborg to pick up groceries. And I actually got all I wanted. One error on my part. I thought I had ordered a TV dinner. But it was a real hot meal --- chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn, and a biscuit. It was quite good! And a pleasant surprise. Yum!
Had a good nap but when I got up the wind was up. Very strong from the north. For me, north is good. I do not feel it since my front door is on the south side of my house.
Went to Jalisco's for supper. It was lightly sprinkling when I left home. When I got to Coronado Heights it stopped.
Supper was good. I was with JR and PM. All the workers are masked now. Good idea. Last night on Stephen Colbert he said the omicron was slowing down in NY. That is hopeful. In South Africa it hit a high and then dropped. Gives me some hope here. But there are far too many in Kansas who refuse to get vaccinated or wear masks. I have nothing good to say for those people. Karma will take care of them.
My boss came in to eat. She came over to chat. She is so nice. I love all the people I work with there. All are nice and fun. And one is a cousin!
By the time we went to go home it was raining. Was not slick to walk or drive but it was a mix of rain and snow. The wind was stronger than ever. Driving home was ok but it was a mess. Strong winds with snow and rain mixed. I got home and quickly turned my water on to dripping. Supposed to be extremely cold over night.
Nico is curled next to me after some major snuggling. Who knows where Kisse is. She has hiding spots I know nothing about!
Photos today are old snow photos. Was not long after my husband had died we had a snow storm. In the morning I heard all this heavy equipment! My neighbours were out in my yard with snow moving equipment. They cleaned the entire driving area and driveway. One guy was ready to clean off my sidewalks but I have none! We just chatted. What a wonderful gesture just to say they care. It was a hard time the first year.
