I had a good day. Great weather. No gale force wind, not too hot, no humidity. Not bad. Sleep was ok as it was cold in the house.
Last night when I took Nico out late. My flashlight caught the eyes of something in the pasture or outside of the pasture. I swear it was out. Looked like a calf but when our eyes met he started to walk towards me. A bit scary. I watch too many of the paranormal things caught on video. Yikes! The next time we were outside I heard a cow mooing, like she was calling her little one. And then I heard him call back. Cattle are usually quiet at night. Then all was quiet.
There was a barrel that had sat between my house & my shed. Been there since the 100 mph winds. I noticed it was gone. My nephew had picked it up. I was scared the dust storm had blown it far away.
Just now I had the front door open. I rarely do that. It needs a new latch & can open easily. Kisse looked out the door window & Cinder looked back. They touched noses through the glass. Sweet. Wish I could bring Cinder in but you never know what might happen.
I met JR for lunch at Jalisco's. It was a mad house again. But JS was not alone. MA was there. Big help to have 2 waiters and an extra helper to clean tables, pass out chips & salsa. And many large take out meals today also.
After lunch, I worked at the Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center (SVAFC). I only worked from 1-3pm. I had one visitor. Artist MH let me in and then took my place at 3pm. I could have worked all day but was not asked to. I like to be there & meet tourists, local people, & art. I also enjoy getting to know MH. I do not belong to a group of friends I hang with so I learn about people as I can. Hard to be left out.
I thought about going somewhere for Mom's Day weekend but there is no way. Nico & Kisse I can board but not Cinder. I doubt I could pick her up. I am doomed to never travel again. Maybe I should just stay home all weekend. I am not a mother anymore so why do anything. If my kids do remember me it will be with another hateful and threatening letter. I am so blessed. I hope Karma will take care of them & may they live in interesting times.
When I got to work there were about 20-30 bikes a the bar across the street. They entertained me. I took some photos. The black & white photo of a unique bike is special. It was a lady driving it!
