Today's Name Day: Elias, Elis

    I did not sleep very good last night.  I had severe hip pain since there is another front approaching.  Finally Cinder got tired of me squirming trying to find a comfortable laying position.  She left & never came back.  😩

    I was up early to get ready for work.  And eat lunch.  Cinder went out about then.  Before I went to work she came in for the day.  Makes me relax knowing she is inside.

    Work was different for me today.  The Old Mill is getting ready for a festival called Millfest. It is a 2 day affair.  On friday we have 500 kids coming to the Mill.  We have different exhibitors showing things they do ---- weaving, carving, Swedish dancing, growing grains, llamas, singing, etc.  So we have a schedule of all exhibitors & what school is with each one at what time.  It is really stressful to work on this.  We did pretty good.  Found 2 errors from yesterday.  Then when we were done we saw that several exhibitors had too many kids or no breaks.  Soooo.  Schools got moved.  But got done.  I volunteered to come in tomorrow if we did not get done, but we were finished.  What a great day it will be!!

    Then on Saturday we turn the Mill on & let it run but with no wheat.  And children are not allowed to go inside while it is on.  There is no protection from belts, wheels, etc.  Very dangerous.  We used to actually grind wheat into flour but they quit that a long time ago.  Makes a terrible mess to clean up!!!  But it would be fun to see!!  On our website there is a full video of the Mill running that you can watch.

    Picked up JR for supper & dessert at Jalisco's.  Not seen them in over a week.  I have done not much but see doctors for a week.  One more to go next week.  

    Some actual rain falling in Kansas, but no where close to me here.  It is getting desperate.  And scary.  Will we have crops this summer???  Scary dry here.

    The cold front is almost here.  Strong winds will be here soon.  Cold temps are coming also.  But any rain with it is mostly in Oklahoma not Kansas.

    Photos are some I took today, a few older.  Will explain some.  Most of the flowers were taken today at the Old Mill.
