Today's Name Day:  Elin, Helena

I have known severak Elins & Helens

    Had a good day.  Slept good.  Cooler weather.  Cloudy but no rain here.  Saw lots of friends.  And a nice hug.

    Today is my weekly lunch with friends.  Today we ate at the Öl Stuga.  My friend CW was cooking.  No MM today.  Or ZR.  Good to see my friends.  Good conversation.  And I learned lots of info about some people in the photos I scan.  Nice to know them better.

    Before I went home CW & I had a chance to chat,  I found out that I have known his grandmother since I was a child  & his aunt as an adult.  So I told him how I know them.  Nice we have a connection to each other.  I cannot imagine why he likes me but he does.  I am lucky,  I got a nice hug from him.

    Got to my car & MM showed up with a friend of his I do not know.  Nice to get to meet her.  Maybe a new friend??  She seems really nice.  Tonight he is at a concert near Wichita that is outside in a park.  Perfect night for it,  It is great to see him feeling good & having fun.

    Went home & no cat heard me.  I changed clothes & took a nap.  Kisse showed up when I laid down. No Cinder.  Both are in the living room with me now.  Cinder has been on me several. times for attention,  They are sleeping now,

    The paved road I take to Lindsborg is closed so I have to take a back road to town.  I have picked a nice one that goes past the cemetery whereWillie is buried.  As is MM's father,  And my friend John, and many of my relatives.  I always talk to Willie when I am close to to him & to both John & MM's father.  And my relatives.  I always report to MM that things are OK.  I did not know his father,  Wish  I had.  I was at his burial,  And met his mom there.

    The road I take to town goes by several fields that we farmed.  Makes me sad.  Sometimes cry a bit. Miss Willie & those days.  Too late now.

    I am sick to death of summer. So photos today are all autumn.  They give me peaceful feelings.  And hope.

07/2025 - Miércoles the 30th- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Algot

    Had a great day out in the world. at last.

    MM called me right as my alarm went off this morning.  Asked me out to lunch.  Of course I said yes.  I got dressed & picked him up at his home.  We ate Mexican.  I had a burger and fries.  Saving Mexican for supper.

    I try to learn bits & pieces of Spanish to use.  I learned to order my Mexican coke in spanish.  And MA what I said was correct but he would say it differently.  I say it his way.  May be where he is from or how is parents said it.  But I always say it his way. 

    I worked at the Old Mill this afternoon.  Boring photos,  But they are moving along.  One photo had 2 of my favorite people.  Miss them so much!

    Supper was Mexican again.  I had my burrito.  Good.  I declined ice cream.  Decided to wait to get groceries then decide about ice cream.  Got a small dish of soft serve with caramel sauce.  Perfect.  I hate to say no to MA but he understands,

    Kids were both so glad when I got home.  Nice to be missed!!   Both wanted petting.  And got what they wanted.

 

    I did my spanish lesson.  It has been just awful lately.  Very frustrating.  Tonight was much easier.  What a relief.  Fun to do better.

    Weather was a bit better.  Still really humid but cooler.  I saw 85F for a high.  Then in town it rained. Very nice.  At my house, not a drop.  Of course.

    Mosquitos are horrible.  I have patches to wear to repel mosquitos & another for Ticks.  I added one to my top for mosquitos.  I noticed at lunch there was a fly around.  It left me alone.  Going home I got a mosquito in my car.  It wanted out in the worst way.  I stopped & opened my window & out he went.  They might work.  Got a bite on my ankle.  Going to bed with one on my ankle & one on my shoulder.

07/2025 - Martes the 29th- JOURNEY

 

So easy to do.  Should make some again.  Lay flowers on a couple of layers of paper towels.  Arrange flowers. on card stock paper. Cover with more paper towels.  Pound with a hammer.

    Another day at home alone.  My usual day when not working.  Wish I would get used to being alone.  Cats are probably tired of me talking to them.  😻

    I slept pretty well.  And when I napped also.  Kisse stayed with me.  Cinder was somewhere else.

    Woke up from my nap feeling sick,  Wanted nothing for supper.  I ended up with popcorn.  And some cake.  Living the high life.

    Awful weather today.  I saw 99.5F here.  Cool overnight.  Cooler weather starts tomorrow.  Finally.  Rain in NW Kansas.  Not anywhere near here.

    Heard from JL & photos from MM & CW.  They are having fun.  Good for them.
