End of Week

There was thunder and lightning last night. I kept getting warnings about heavy rain. Not hardly. It rained but not heavy. It did get cooler then. But today was like a sauna. And over 90F. Just makes my depression worse.

Had my Swedish group today. It was fun! We reviewed how much fun we all had last weekend at the game reserve. And the bison and the babies! Cannot wait to go back. They have wildflower tours but they are sold out. Too bad. I want to go on a winter tour when it snows. Would make for great photos.

Had lunch with a friend at Jalisco's. Best food, best staff. I feel at home there. One of the waiter's father is working there for a couple of days. So nice to see him again. Nice man.

Big holiday weekend here. Most people do not think about what it means. All they think about is going to the lake and drinking. Sad. We used to just go to my mom's for a simple BBQ. How I miss those days! I used to not want to go (sorry Mom) and now I would give anything for burgers and potato salad at Mom's. Once she died, family died also. Any family here has never included my brother and I in anything. We are just alone. Now there is my daughter. I wish I had a lovely patio, great grill, and all so I could at least have some friends out. Think that ship has sailed a long time ago. And healthwise not sure I am up to it. Even though there are several who think I am faking or lying or whatever. No matter. I take care of me and who cares about them.

Photos are from today. I found some cool new (to me) wildflowers the other day. All gone today. Dang. There is a yellow one that blooms early and is closed by 2pm. No photos yet. Only of the seeds.
