National Lazy Mom's Day

I might not be a mom any more but I am lazy!!!  I am an expert at it!!

Today's Name Day: Lilian, Lilly

    Not my best day today.  Got no sleep last night.  It was one of those "If I go to sleep now I will be ok" nights. Never happened.  And on top of no sleep, my hip became instensely sore & got a bad headache.  And of course, I have nothing to take for pain.  Why would any one give me a pain med. Be too easy. I stayed home from work.  Tried to nap this afternoon.  A poor nap.  Cinder came in to nap & went out now after supper.

    The company where I get 2 of my meds called.  I was scared I had done something wrong.  But everyone was super nice.  They asked if I got needles for my insulin.  Nope.  Never did.  Well they are at my doctor's in Hutch.  Will get them on monday.  Have to bring my car in to Assaria for some minor adjustment.

    Had an early morning text from MM worried about his looong day of the week!!!  Bartends at 2 bars.  Plus one has a BBQ. meal tonight.  Be fun to go sometime.  Should just go & find a table somewhere in a corner & just people watch while I eat.  He did bring food to me one time after a special meal there.  It was awesome!!  I am not used to being special.  Kind of nice.

    Weather was ok.  In the 80s.  Too warm.  Cooler tomorrow I think,  Does not matter.  I am home alone again.  There was rain last evening.  A town 30 minutes south of me got 2 iches of rain.  We got out usual 0.01 inch.  Never make the news like other towns.  Supposed to be pretty cool tonight  Hope that helps me sleep.

    Did some photo editing.  I enjoy that.  Got a really cool couple of apps that are fun to use

    The names for today mean something special to me.  My mother-in-law was Lillie (Lilly).  Lillian was my step grandmother & several other relatives.  Cool when they mean something to me.

    Catching up on one late night show.  Host is back from his vacation.  Good show.

National Cheese Pizza Day

Prefer mine with hamburger, bacon, & extra cheese with a hand tossed crust.

Today's Name Day: Adela, Heidi

    Just a quiet day at home.  No activities but to rest.  No communication with anyone.  Like many other days.  Sigh.......

    Slept pretty good.  Cinder snuggled now & then.  At one point Kisse curled up by my feet & Cinder was on my shoulder.  Unusual but I liked it.  Glad they can get along sometimes.

    When it was naptime Cinder was ready to come back in.  She snuggled on my chest a few times.  I don't always feel her if I am sound asleep.  Used to her, I guess.  She just went out.  She did let me eat my supper though.

    Supper was a new soup I ordered.  Had chicken & wild rice.  Love the rice.  Very good.  Will order again.  Ended with a chocolate chip cookie.  Mom always called them chip chocolate cookies.  No idea why.  When Mom died, my sweet little granddaughter just could not attend her funeral.  Too upset.  But she baked some chip chocolate cookies & put some on her grave.  I get tears remembering.

    There was to be a cold front today.  Well, not here.  Stayed to the west.  It was 90F before lunch.  Huh???  No bueno.  Rain stayed west also.  Now some rain in my area but sure as rain it willl NOT rain here.  No rain next week, but there is a small maybe.  HA.

    Last night I laid in bed on FB surfing & finding lots of Ron White reels & Elvis reels.  Nice way to relax,  Today I have caught up on some political sites on SnapChat.

    Play with some editing apps but not too many.  Photos have a few in them & a couple of other photos.

                                

This is actually a photo I took of 2 friends, changed to a pencil sketch & then ran it through an app I like.  Looks nothing like them!

    Had a great day!!!  Before work I met LL for lunch at the White Peacock.  It was really quiet in there today.  But we had a great talk & good food. I had a cinnamon roll.  Too die for!!

    Work was good.  I finished Folder "J".  Started on Folder "K".  Got it all sorted.  Started scanning the tiny photos, that I hate so much!!!  Only got a few done.

    I always depend on LL knowing people in photos that I do not know or cannot remember names.  After I left work, LL texting me photos asking me who people are!!.  Different set of photos!!  We are a good pair!  For names I am good at googling people to find out their names or spouse's names.

    I left work early to get JR for a meeting about his photographic show coming next year.  He has amazed me all the work he has done!  All his photos are sorted, labeled, discriptions written up.  He had 2 already framed just to see how they will look,  So now he starts printing & framing his photos.  Many photos!!!  Exciting times!!!  Glad I was included today.  Fun to be apart of something fun!!!

    Yesterday was JR's birthday.  So I took him somewhere special to eat.  And knew eating there would not upset my stomach!!  After supper we got grocreries.  He got something special for his birthday!  A cookie sandwich.  Looked luscous!!  Huge!!!!

                

I got some groceries too.  Out of lunch meat, soda, & almost out of cookies.

    When I got up today the cats just kept on sleeping.  When I got home around 7pm, Cinder are ready to go out.  It was nice weather today.  Just a tiny bit warmer than yesterday.  Very nice.  Hopefully small chance of rain tomorrow & cooler temps for sure.  I hope.

Autumn Weather

Finally we are getting some cooler weather.  Been pleasant for a few days now.  Still could get hot again but not to last long & most likely not 100.  I hope.

Today's Name Day: Alfhild, Alva

    Another at home alone day.  Minimal communication.  Be good to get back to work.  I always miss being there.

    Nice weather today.  Cool last night.  Needed another blanket on.  Highs today in the 80s.  70s would be better but anything is better than 100+.  Have a cold front coming bringing cooler temps but not much rain.  We need rain sooo much.

    Have little news to share.  Slow day.  Three days with no human contact does not make for a good blog,

    I thought my washer was broke but when I emptied it my bag of wet clothes was ungodly heavy.  So I tried a small load.  No problems.  I rarely have a lot of clothes to wash so it might ok for a while longer.  KN is too busy to go get me a new washer.

    My cousin sent me a photo of me, our cousin, him & his sister with our grandfather.  Never seen that photo.  Very special,  That grandfather was extra special to me.  I can still hear his laugh!  It was awesome!

    Hope I sleep well tonight.  I am always so tired.  So I am ready to work.

National V-J Day (Victory over Japan Day)

.......recognizes Allied Forces' victory over Japan during World War II.  Officials announced the surrender of Japan to the Allies on August 15, 1945. The official signing of surrender took place on September 2, 1945, officially ending World War II.  

Today's Name Day:  Justina, Justus

    Holiday today here in the US.  Used to be with my parents but those days are long gone.  Not a text or email or call from anyone.  A friend today wrote a long post about his life..  In reality he was writing about how my life as it is now..  We are FB friends but have never met.  A shame.  Maybe we would be friends,  But I am always afraid to ask anyone for anything for fear of being rejected.  At least FB was not full of tons of family/friends photos of their wonderful get togethers.  The angels have spared me those.

    Slept good last night.  Cinder won the chair & blanket race.  So Kisse slept on the bed with me most of the night,  Cinder was in for some supper & then back outside..  I took a nap just to kill time.  Less time to sit & feel sorry for myself.

    Last night was good sleeping.  House was a bit cool & my feet were cold, I slept with socks on.  And cuddled up in my blankets,  Great feeling.  Our weatherman who loves the heat just had to point out that we could still get temps in the 90s for another few weeks.  Kill joy.  Weatherwise, autumn started this weekend.  Good!!

    I got all the trash outside.  And sat with Cinder for a while.  Awesome weaether.  Our high was 78F.  Perfect.

    Tomorrow is another nothing day.  A friend has been here from New York.  She had time for one supper with me. She leaves on wednesday but most likely she is busy with her sister.  Another friend texted me.  He has been really sick again,  Told him to let me know when he is better.  Between his being ill & me being ill we keep missing each other.

Today's Name Day: Sam, Samuel

    A nice quiet day.  Nice nap.  Slept ok last night.  My cats were playing a game with each other.  Whoever got the chair & blanket could stay here.  The other one had to sleep with me.  Kisse curled up next to my neck twice.  I enjoyed her closeness.  Hope she did.  Odd night.

    Supper with JR was Pizza Hut.  Nothing much is openn so not a big choice. One that is open I do not dare to go in anymore.  The owner was mad at another restaurant & made some not so nice comments on my group.  I texted him to try to straighten it out.  He had already quit my group, said less than kind things about my group & then made unkind comments about me.  I then blocked him.  If I would go in & he was drunk it could get ugly.  I do not need that.  The other place that is open I do not like what they serve.  China is closed for repairs,  I had garlic bread & apple pie bites,  Interesting choices!!

    On the way home I decided to check Willie's grave.

Glad I did. It was vandalised again. His flowers and what they were displayed in had been removed & not found anywhere. And a sweet little pink bouquet was on my side. I am not dead. I need no flowers. Is that how my son & daughter want me to know they still want me dead? Grow up. Your lives are how you made them. No one else is to blame. It did upset me but I have not lost control. Do not want them to win. Why are they hateful? He is dead. Leave him in peace. I live my life quietly & do not harrass you ever. Leave me alone.

                                    

    Pretty nice weather today. Mid 80s & low humidity. No wind. Just pleasant. After supper I took JR to show him where MM is moving to. Very nice!!
