Quarantine Day 81

Not much going on today. Quiet. Had quite a storm last night. Very strong winds and heavy rain. Forgot to check the gauge. Too hot to go out!! But got brave just now. We had one inch. Had hail to start with. Loud but not too large. Hot today. Saw mid 90s. And the humidity was a killer. Hard to breathe with no air moving.

My nephew sprayed for wood borers yesterday. Instead of 20 swarming around my head I saw 2 this morning and then only 1 later. The spray keeps on working so hopefully they will die too. Keeping my eyes open for hornets. They scare me.

Photos are from another summer. Flowers. Too soon for so many here yet.

Family photo, sort of. Willie's foot, my feet, our dog Jo. Always like this photo.

Quarantine Day 80

And I thought yesterday was hot! HA! I saw 95F today and no wind. And humid. Awful. Chance of storms tonight. No flooding but could be winds up to 70 mph. Hope it misses us.

My nephew was here while I was gone and sprayed for wood borers. Dang they are awful. One dive bombed my head the other day. Hopefully he got them all!!

Watching a new Acorn show, A Place to Call Home. Takes place in Australia 1950s. I have friends in Australia. Love their accent. Fun to hear.

Had supper at Jalisco's. My best friend worked tonight. Almost feels normal when there. A nice break in isolation.

Photos from today. I visited Willie on the way home. Thanks to some family, I worry about his grave. So far so good. But a worry.

Quarantine Day 79

Hotter today. Got up to at least 91F. Still windy. With the heat the wheat has a faint gold tint. Harvest approaches. Glad I am not cooking this year. To think I used to cook for 15 crewmen. How did I do that?

Had therapy today. Made me think. Too much. I have an assignment for next week. Stressed already!! (-; My therapist said she has many patients that feel exactly like I do. Bad times. And the isolation just makes it much worse.

I lay down to take a nap and cried. I won't say what I feel. When I do I always get strange comments. Do not need those. I mostly assume there is not a lot of caring for my feelings.

Was going to visit with someone today after my appointment but they never answered my phone call. I assumed they were too busy.

My nephew was here checking on his cattle. We had a nice visit. Nico even lay down and was quiet. Seeing and talking to someone sure helps me so much. People with large support groups of friends or family have no idea how lucky they are.

Photos today are not mine. They have a French flavor and are pretty and light hearted. I can no longer take the politics and hate. It is overwhelming. Sharing things that are sweet.

Quarantine Day 78

Quiet day. I found a combination of pain ointments that sort of work so I felt good during the night. Bought some patches to help me sleep. Work great. I ordered some shampoo/rinse that is created for my hair. I chose the color and scent of each. Ah, the smells are great!! The bathroom still fells great!

Too hot today. Almost 90F. But with strong winds that helped.

Tonight I am lost in England and Scotland on train trips. The guide is Julie Walters. She was in Henry Potter. My photos today are from her trip to Alnwick England. I am certainly feeling my British genes. Wish I was there and not here --- out in the countryside away from all the hate and violence. There used to be a train to Alnwick that stopped in 1968. The station is now a used book store. I could spend a lot of time there!! Been a great escape.

The Keep Calm and Carry On sayings started in Alnwick. They found it in a box of books and printed it. Over the years it has gotten more popular. Very interesting.

And did those feet in ancient time,
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy lamb of god
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark satanic mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear, oh clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Til we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land
