Quarantine Day 85

Today an artist friend is here from Iowa. And is staying for an entire month. So we can see each other as his time allows. I enjoy his company. I think he is the only one who truly knows how I feel and what I am going through. Wish he lived closer. We had a nice visit.

My friend agrees with me on people who wear --- or do not wear --- masks. Did not see many today. Very few. I think it is selfishness on them. They simply do not get it. I will be wearing my mask for a long long time to come. I get Covid, I can die. Others do not care. Who cares about someone my age? Too few.

I found where my best friend is working. I stopped to chat a bit. The house he is at has the sweetest and cutest dog. We bonded!!

Hot again today. I saw 96 in my car. With strong winds that will get even stronger tomorrow.  Poo. With the heat and wind our wheat is really getting golden. Harvest has started in southern Kansas. Even though I have no wheat I am still jittery in my stomach. Long time habit. Willie is probably jittery in his grave!! I will miss being there but I will not bother anyone by peeking in. Not my circus.

 My motivation just sucks. Did not get my "homework " done for my therapist. Did not help that my arm was more painful that usual. But I just got ANOTHER ointment in the mail. Seems to work pretty well. See how long that lasts. Need to get to Wichita to see my RA doctor. If it is not RA, then I need to see someone else.

Quarantine Day 84

84. How many more??

Sort of a quiet day. Lunch at Jalisco's. They were very busy. Good for them but I did not like that. Too many people. One guy kept walking back to near where I sat. I finally put my mask on. It was my brother and I and another lady with masks on. This is going to get worse again. More virus in the next town and the next large town. No normal life for me. I had wanted to travel some but I doubt that will happen. Makes me sad.

Hot again. Mid 90s. I got up early with Nico. It was 71F outside but the humidity was 82 %. It felt awful. Better later. A bit cooler coming and a chance of rain!

Quarantine Day 83

Quiet day after a night of restlessness. Seems to be my new normal. Got hot again but not up to 100F like they said. I saw 93F. And it is humid. The house is ok. Seems to be no happy medium though.

I am truly sick of TV. How can I have so many channels and nothing worth watching. Sigh. And tired of the reality of what is going on in the world. Seems no escape from that.

Only 83 days of quarantine. Seems endless. Now 6 new cases near me. And gaining in many places. It is amazing how many people do not take care. Seen friends/family at parties with lots of drinking and no safety measures. Sad. I hope they will all stay healthy.

Quarantine Day 82

A mostly quiet day. Too hot for anything else!! I saw 99F today. Worse on saturday and sunday. Oh, joy. I love heat and humidity.

My best friend worked today at the restaurant. My brother and I ate there. Fun to see all the staff. And to chat and joke with them. Had my usual shrimp. I am addicted.

Getting a huge new wifi antenna in town. We drove out to look at it. Took a couple of photos. When I got home I had 2 turkey vultures in my back yard. I like having them around. Been here for a long time.

Photos today are all mine but one. Farm, flowers, town,  the lake, and a couple from a bus trip to the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Cool place. Go visit it. Interesting. I try to post pleasant things. Too much hate and killing. I have had to limit what I now get on FB. I can barely handle my life without all the horrid things. Not that I do not care but what can I do? Not much.
