Today's Name Day:  Ottilia, Otto

Ottilia is a special name to me.  Have several ancestors had this as a first or middle name.  Some sweet ladies.

    Had a pretty great day!! Slept so-so & not too much pain.

    Work day today.  I finished one package of photos.  I was sick of those.  Then started on another package.  What a joy!  Every photo had been printed twice.  So instead of scaning 30 photos I only had to do 15!!! Then I started on some Midsummers' photos.  Much more interesting.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  What fun it was!!  MA's parents from Mexico came in!  I got hugs from both.  Special people.  A lady & a baby sat in the back booth.  I did not recognize her but then her husband came to sit.  Someone I know well!!!  MA's brother, PA.  Had not seen him in a while.  And nice to meet his wife & baby son.  Then there was another man I recognized, PA.  Not seen him in a very long time.  He owns all the restaurants & worked in Lindsborg when it first opened.  Good to reconnect with him & chat a bit.  PA made sure to include me in some family get togethers coming up soon.  Nice to be included.  Sort of feel like family in a way.  Most of my own family never includes me in anything.

    Weather got chilly overnight but too warm today.  In the upper 70s.  Could be near 90 this weekend.  Ick.  And no chance for rain for at least 10 days or more.  😟

    Came home & no cattle or llamas.  Now I see a few cattle walking around out my window.

    Watching MSNBC interviewing some farmers.  The sad thing is farmers are getting screwed over by the government.  They are not getting a fair price but they also are having to pay higher prices for products they need.  But they all voted for our present government.  Tried to tell them.  Sorry for them.  They did not listen.

This is what I saw when going to work.  There are bulls on the left side of my drive.  This bull was singing a love song to several "ladies".  Three cows & one calf arrived on the right of my drive.  Listening.  💕

    Had an OK day.  Just resting or multi-slacking. 😁

    Slept good & had a nice nap.  Cats stayed close.  Weather was cool at night & too warm during the day.

    Had 2 text messages other wise a quiet day.  No cattle or llamas.  Maybe later.

    Burrito for supper.  Looking forward to it.  Thank goodness for Jalisco's!!! 😃

Sweater Weather --- So Much Better!

Today's Name Day:  Irma, Irmelin

Irma is a special day to me.  Was a sweet lady friends with my in-laws.

    What a busy day!!  I am exhausted & hurting everywhere!!!

    Day started with lab work.  I hate hospitals & hate doctor's appointments.  Lab was ok.  Had a longer wait than usual.  Then back home for lunch & fixing my face.

    Saw my doctor at 2pm.  I was sooo worried about my labs but it was mostly ok.  Even my A1C was good. And my weight also.

    Done with my doctor, I took off to Hutchinson to pick up meds.  Good trip.

    On they way home I stopped at Jalisco's & bought 2 burritos.  Great supper.

    I just now took a short nap.  I was just wiped out.  I feel better now.  But the house is cold now.  Heat on for a while.

    Hate the weather.  Talking about more high winds every other day & no chance of rain.  There will be rain north, east, & south of us but not here.  Maybe a chance for rain in mid to late April.  Not holding my breath!!  And forecasting weather in the 80s.  Usch!!!

Henbit is always purple but several summers ago I had a couple of plants in my yard that were white.  I took many photos as they are rare.

04/2025 Söndag the 06th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Vilhelm, William

Vilhelm is a special name to me.  My great uncle's name.  Eventually went by Vilhelm Manfred, then Manfred William.  He was quite the character.

    Today was a good day.  Slept fair, ate ok, took a nice nap.  Got cold overnight.  I saw 30F.  Today in the 50s.  No strong winds.

    Cinder has stayed pretty close after I was gone extra time on friday. Usually as long as I have a light on in the bedroom but she no longer cares,  I now I go to bed & she follows & curls up by me.  Same with Kisse.

    After a nice nap  JR & I went to Pizza Hut.  No salad for me.  Just garlic bread.  See my family doc tomorrow & want to feel ok.  Dessert was ice cream.  Very good.

    I missed a doctor's appointment & I did not miss seeing him.  You have to fill out papers telling them where you hurt, are you anxious or depressed.  Yet nothing is ever done for how I feel. No one asks.  I have 3 docs who all know I hurt a lot but no one gives me anything for pain.  I never ask anymore.  No one cares,  I found a pain reliever on Amazon that has nothing bad in it.  And somehow it works.  And is cheap.  If my pain is bad it just sort of helps.  I manage.  No one gives me ideas how to feel better.  Nice to be ignored,  And I think the older one gets the more you get ignored.  Diabetic PA is pretty good as is my arthritis PA.

    When I left for town, Coco & Larry were right by my driveway.  I got lots of photos & will do a collage tomorrow.  They were fun to see up close.  And talk to.
