2025 Fredag the 28th - Wandering & Capturing Moments.

This is a cool Swedish weekly event.  Not doing it when I was there.  Would be fun!

Today's Name Day:  Malkolm, Morgan

Malkolm is a local special name.  Had a wonderful artist in town named Malcom Esping.

    Had a good day.  I finally felt better.  Able to walk better & less pain whether sitting or napping.

    Cats were super lazy today.  Cinder usually comes out of the bedroom to bother me while I am eating lunch.  Both cats stayed in bed today.

    I managed a short nice nap.  Kisse on her chair next to my bed & Cinder laid on my chest.  Love it.  

    Then I got up to dress.  Surprised that my hair looked ok.  Not touched it since I washed it.  Makes a difference to have a good hair cut.  Still working on my new makeup.  Not bad.  Less steps so easier.  Cats saw me in clothes & knew I was leaving.

    Went to town to get meds.  But they weren't done.  So I washed my car.  It all got clean but one place on my windsheild.  Wonder what I got on it??  And I forgot to see if it took the mud off from underneathe.  Will check tomorrow.  Then picked up JR & back to the pharmacy.

    Supper was Jalisco's.  Missed my burritos this week.  Ate one & brought one home.  Felt pretty good out.  Only hurt while eating.

    Groceries after supper.  I was out of too many things I like.  OK now.  Too much to carry in.  Some stayed in the car until tomorrow.  Too tired to go back out.

    Rain comes tomorrow evening.  With an evil cold front that plays havoc with my RA.  Sunday another front & colder weather.  Snow in the NW Kansas.  We never got as warm as they thought it would here today.  Good.

Local bed & breakfast.  It is gorgeous.  I have toured it.  Be fun to stay there.

Dessert tonight after eating.  Will have to do without the chocolate.  Blood sugar got too high tonight. 

 

2025 Torsdag the 27th - Wandering & Capturing Moments.

 

Today's Name Day:  Ralf, Rudolf

    I felt some better yesterday but not today.  I went to take a shower & had trouble stepping up & in the bathtub. I desperately needed to shampoo my hair so I found a way to safely get in the tub.  It is always something.  But my hair looks & feels better.  Hopefully I can work on saturday.  I hate this week.

    Far too hot today.  Stayed in the 50s overnight.  Ick.  today we hit 85.  Double ick..  My house was 88 inside by my bedroom.  Got it down to 75 inside now.  Much better.  Some rain in my area now.  Probably bypass my farm as usual.  We are in a warning now.

    I actually made it outside.  Had two trash bags that were taking the house over.  So out they went.  I got one trash bin upright to put them in.  Strapped the lid down.  Hope that helps to keep it upright.  If the trash men would do that it would help.  Wind was kind of strong but could have been worse.

    We had a thunderstorm last night at 430am.  Lots of lightning, some thunder, & a little rain.  MM had hail at his house.  Woke him & his dog up.  Kids slept through it all.  We got next to no rain ---- 0.02".

    No appetite for supper.  And felt sick.  Think my blood sugar was low.  I had a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, chips, & a cookies.  All I had the energy to fix,  Did not make me feel better.

    TV sucks this week.  Basketball.  Many of my favorite shows are cancelled.  Just do not like American sports.

    I saw a llama out my window.  Then it got a bit stormy & he disappeared.  Probably ran home.  Oops.  Wrong..  Still here!!  Too dark to go take a photo.

    A few texts today.  Not much.  I found a comment on something I posted a couple days ago from CF.  A message would have been better.

2025 On5dag the 26th - Wandering & Capturing Moments.

 

Happy heavenly birthday Nico!!  I sure miss him.

Today's Name Day:  Emanuel

    Another day that was not good.  Cancelled my day again.  No work.  Made a quick trip to meet MM & went to the bank.  Then home.  My RA reared its ugly head again plus a sick headache.  Enough about me.

    At MM's my great grandson would not come out to see me.  Watching cartoons!!!  But later he sent a "I love you" message to me!!!  Kids!!! 😀

    Cats stayed close all night & again when I took a nap.  I felt ok during my nap.  Changed when I got up.  Cinder never gets tired of me.  Went from bed to sofa & she had to sit on my lap.  Nice to be popular!!

    Weather is warm.  Wind returns tomorrow with chance of evening thunder storms.  Much colder on sunday but the forecast for snow is now gone.  Chance of thunder storms again.  Cooler will be nice.  High winds on saturday but less on sunday,  Gonna be a challenging summer I fear.

    Lots of texting & photos with MM today. That is always nice.  Not much from anyone else.  Did hear from JR that he feels better.  Great!!  Maybe we can eat out tomorrow??  Maybe.

    I really wish the tv would remove all ads from lawyers & from medication companies.  Meds should be ordered by your doc not by tv influencing you.

    No llamas today.  See cattle though.

2025 Ti5dag the 24th - Wandering & Capturing Moments.

 

This is waffledagen in Sweden..  They do not celebrate like my town does. 

Today's Name Day:  "Våffeldagen" (a day to eat waffles). 

    Had a better day.  Slept good & more comfy.  Cats stayed close.  I just took it easy today.  Rest up for work tomorrow.

    My thursday lunch got changed to next week due to illness.  JR is sick also today.  Plus more measles cases in Kansas.  I think they said a total of 10.

    I assume I was vaccinated for measles.  I had them when I was a toddler.  But mine were inside my body not on the outside.  I remember spending the days on my grandmother's sofa.  Dr. Holwerda visited me every day after office hours.  I have some memories of this time in my life.  Do not remember my grandmother or the doctor.  Remember being on the sofa.

    I guess the weather was good today.  Will venture out to get my mail.  Highs near 70.  Too warm overnight.  Have rain now forecast for thursday.  Hope it rains all day.  I am home so no problem.  We even have a chance of snow over the weekend.  See how true that is.

    Nice weather so my great grandsons played in the park after school.  Looked like fun!!  Loved seeing them.  And MM checked on me today to see how I feel today.  I always value that.
