Traveling Sunday

Had a good day today. Met my brother and daughter for lunch at Jalisco's.  Good food. I tried to order something other than arroz con camerones y frijoles. But nothing else sounded good. Fun to joke with the waiters and cooks. Jalisco's was packed today. We almost had to leave but a couple of large tables left first.

My brother and I took a drive. We went through Gypsum, Carlton, Elmo, Hope, Herington, and Delavan. We took lots of photos. We also drove out to the Herington Regional Airport. Originally it was the Herington Army Air Field. It was a staging base of the US Army Air Forces Second Air Force. I never knew about that air field. Fun to learn now. I have a friend who lived there who talks about it.

It was fun to see many churches, abandoned buildings, beautiful old homes, and even a great mural. It was peaceful out in the country.

On the sofa now with Nico curled next to me. The best part of my life.
