Wandering, 12 march, 2022

    It got sooo cold last night.  I saw 13F at my farm.  Today it was 53F but with a cold wind.  No sitting outside.  Cinder did not care.  She lays in the sun & I can almost see her smiling!

    Did not sleep well last night. What else is new?  So the fur kids and I napped.

    Weather just said high winds tomorrow.  Wonder where the weekend fires will be?  The last windy day we had a horrible fire south of here.  One man died and 35 homes burned down.  One couple got separated in the smoke so the separately ran for their lives.  She jumped in their pond and the fire went over her.  She just knew her husband was dead.  Then she turned around there he was sitting on the other bank of the pond.  This one started by a fire set weeks ago.  They are checking to see if he started it the right way ---- call & get a permit, watch it until out.  BUT.  There can be embers burning a& you never know.  Pasture by my house was burned and several weeks later it was burning again.  The cattle walked all over the pile of stuff and stirred it up.  And exciting day!!  Thankfully our neighbor saw the flames and notified everyone and called the fire department.  I was not scared but it did get close to my house.  But no gale force winds that day!

    Evenings seem to be for Nico to see how many times he can make me get up.  We had supper, a cookie, & outside to potty.  But the minute I am on my laptop here he is wanting something.  Who knows what?  All that is left is a treat.  That can wait a little bit!  He is asleep now.

    Kisse needs to see the vet.  She was never very fat & I think she is getting thinner.  She acts fine.  She eats well.  She runs up & down the hall playing ---- sometimes alone, sometimes with Nico.  But she is a tiny cat.  She was a feral cat I brought in the house after she got caught & could not get out.  She was used to me & Nico.  When she was outside, she would streak across our carport.  She knew just how far to go so Nico could not reach her!!

    No special photos today.  Just a mix.  The photo of Jalisco's was taken before they remodeled.  The old truck is my neighbor's.  The dark sky was last night.  On the left is an electrical pole & Orion is in the middle.
