Todays Name Day is Tyra
I had a great day!!! Slept ok. Up early to wash my hair. I just dread that but it always goes well. What is wrong with me? Even got a nap. And the weather wqs great!!!
Tonight I had a very quick supper at Jalisco's. The new guy even called me by name. Nice! I ate half of what I ordered. Did not want to push it. And I had a snack later that was awesome --- chocolate chip cookies. For some reason Mom always called them chip chocolate cookies!
Had my historical meeting tonight. Started with a board meeting. Went well. Then we always have a program. It was extra excellent tonight.
Our speaker was Jim Gray, a cowboy from Geneseo KS. He is an excellent speaker & super nice guy. He talked about a family from Geneseo that had a grandson who owned a drug store in Lindsborg. We all remember him. Had fun photos of his family.
Jim also talked about Geneseo's museum. It looks fascinating. Must visit. But the most interesting is the exhibit of UFO things. And people involved who truly believe in UFOs. I won't say what I believe or not but it was an interesting talk.
And. The town has an annual UFO day ---- parade, yards decorated, food. The second saturday in July. Must plan to go.
The most interesting fact he shared is on a curb near the museum is a etching on it that looks like this * only bigger. If you enlarge it there is a pointer on one line that appears to be a UFO. And if you draw a line from it on the direction it is pointing it ends in 500 miles at Roswell NM. Interesting..
