No plans for today. Sort of a mini jammie day. I did sleep good last night. Both cats stayed in their own favorite nests & rarely bothered me last night. Except Cinder starts bugging me around 10am. Sits on my chest. Keeps rubbing her nose on mine. Tickles!! I finally give up. I think she wants to go out. But after we get to the living room she has to sit & think about it. But finally out she goes.
At lunch time I checked on Cinder. She just wanted to stay out. But at my nap time, she came in to nap. At least she was in during the hottest of the day.
Weather was awful. Temp at my house was 99F. Only to get worse. No breeze. Have several days coming up over 100F. Then we "cool down" to the 90s. Hahaha! No chance of rain. One chance in the NE corner of Kansas.. Far from us here. The drought is getting worse. Wichita is really bad. They are close to putting restrictions on water use. Will affect several surrounding towns. A lake where they get some of their water is extremely low & getting lower.
Still smoky here. Cannot smell it but can see it on photos & in the sunsets. A fire in California has kind of exploded. A man whose car had caught fire maybe from his engine instead of calling for help shoved his car off the road into a gully. Now a big fire. He is arrested. The fires in Canada have spread. And it is reported that Oregon has 30 fires. And the jet stream swirls around & sends it to the mid USA. So lucky we are,
I do not feel normal due to the smoke but my eyes are not burning but I have coughed a bit. Not too bad.
No texting or talking to anyone. Short text from AA so he is the same as he has been. Better than worse. Everyone else must be busy or just ignoring me.
I have no appetite today. Lunch was sort of ok. Supper was not. Nothing appealed to me. And I have a fridge full of food. Nothing sounded good. Or looked good.
Been busy & I have 4 emails with tons of info on family in genealogy. Maybe this weekend I can catch up. Maybe. Be too hot to do anything else.
