I had a great day!!! My new phone came in way ahead of time. Was on back order until January 23. I have no complaints.
I got up early to go to Salina to get my new phone.. Had the nicest guy wait on me. He saw me getting out of my car & met me at the front door to hold it for me. And the same when I left. We got all the financial stuff done then he did the transfer of one phone to another. Took around an hour. Cool. Still had time for lunch!!
I waited to eat at the White Peacock before work. I had biscuits & gravy. Awesome.
Then off to the Old Mill. I had trouble adding files/folders. The words have changed but I finally got it. Duh. LL was big help.
Supper was alone. JR did not feel up to par. But MA will be gone for a few days & I wanted to see him before he leaves. Will miss him but Jalisco's is in good hands!!
I was surprised when MS asked if I had help in my home. Yeah right. She offered to come clean. I said I have boxes that need to be thrown out. She said she would be glad to help. See how brave I am to let her see what a mess I am. Just one room would be nice.
I have actually driven in rain for 2 days in a row. Left Lindsborg last night after my meeting, Got within a few miles of my house & it rained hard.. Used wipers all they way home. Today I took off for Salina & light drizzle started. Then heavy rain. I used the wipers all they way to Verizon. Then that was it. Front came through with high winds. Dang!!!
Work was not too cold but going to my car was painful. Really cold with high winds. I got new gloves & gladly used them. Toasty.
The weather is just wrecking my body. There is no place that does not hurt. ;Between weak pain meds cause god forbid anyone would order me a pill or two. They all know I hurt. Advil helps but they hurt my kidneys so am not allowed to take them. I can only suffer.
I do not expect special treatment from anyone. If there are kind people I am appreciative. So on my way in to Jalisco's for supper there were 4 people ahead of me. One lady was middle aged at best. Parent of the other 3. Maybe. The last one nearest me was a young man who was bouncing around as he walked. He walked in ahead of me. Slammed the door shut in my face oblivious there was anyone behind him. He was rude. As that happened a young man near me on the sidewalk quickly made sure I was ok & took control of the door & made sure I got in ok. The 4 head of me were all white. The one who made sure I was ok was black. Probably a college student. He did not come in to eat. If he had I would have bought his meal. When I go in anywhere I am always aware if there are peoplle following me & make sure the door does not slam in their face. We are a rude country & getting worse.
Cold now & chilly tomorrow. Worse on the weekend. I think. We have 2 more cold fronts to hit. My body knows.
