    A great day today.  JR and I ate at Jalisco's.  They were busy and it was noisy!  Good for them!  All the help were friendly.  Always good!!

    After we ate I came home to take Nico outside.  Then JR and I took off on a road trip to Clay Center.  They have been advertising about the new murals in town.  We drove around and found quite a few.  There was a refurbished train station that looked very nice with a caboose next to it. Clay Center has a town square with a large courthouse.  Loved to see it!  Got several photos of it. We also found a grain elevator with a mural painted on two sides of it.  I got one side.

    The Jalisco owners have a restaurant in Clay Center next to a motel.  They have a total of around 8 restaurants.  A friend worked in Clay Center several years ago and I went to see him.  I found it today just to remember.  They all close by 230pm on sundays.  But now I will remember how to get there.

    Great weather today.  In the 70s with a little breeze.  Nice to see some different areas.  Need to do this every sunday.  Or any other day.  I can probably be gone around 4 hours and Nico should be ok.  JR asked to go somewhere today.  Planning a weekly trip will do us both good.  Need to try to take Nico with.

    Quiet day at home.  Nothing exciting except being very tired.  My mind raced all night with memories of past friends.  Not all good memories.  Old friends who left me wondering what in the hell I did to them that ended our friendships.  No wonder I am exhausted today.  When I am home alone I feel totally isolated and forgotten.

    It was quite warm today.  In the 60s to 70s but still a bit windy.  Should have sat outside a while.

    I finally got my HP laptop turned on.  Now I am catching up on Murdock Mysteries.  It has been on a while but now I can binge watch!!  My favorite show!

    I took no photos today.  More tree photos with some others mixed in.  Probably for the last time unless I get more that are different.

                      

          

Wandering, 05 november 2021

    It was a bit warmer today but with winds in the 20mph plus it felt chilly.  A warmup through the weekend then cold again and a chance of rain.

    I rushed to town in the late afternoon to get to the bank before it closed.  Then I spent some time driving around town taking photos of our beautiful trees.  Very relaxing.  Then I had to get fuel as I was on fumes.  I could not believe it that there were cars in line to get fuel at each pump.  No idea why.  I was in no hurry so it did not matter.  Price is $3.09.  Ridiculous.

    JR and I had supper at Jalisco's.  They were busier than earlier in the week.  One huge group!  But the waiters still visited a bit.  I was 3 meals behind tipping one waiter.  He said it did not matter but it mattered to me.  He is always good to me.  Another staff member smiled a lot.  Even with his mask on his eyes smiled.  And I rated a nice hug.  And the third waiter is always friendly and nice.  And helps me with my Spanish.  Always good.

    I do a lesson every night on Babbel.  I struggle some times but it is getting easier.  And I am finding it easier to speak a little to the waiters.  A good feeling.

    Covid is worse here again.  My church had 2 people who attended coffee and church last sunday.  No people allowed in church again.  Another church in town is said to have a cluster of Covid.  Will see how many cars are there on sunday.  I wonder if it will matter to them?  And workers at several care homes in my town and the surrounding towns have not been vaccinated.  No shot means they should not work in public, especially around the elderly.  I have lost my patience with stupidity.  Period.

    No idea what is going on but I hurt in every joint of my body last night and today.  No amount of pain relieving ointment helped.  Going to have to get my walker out.  Even places I never or rarely hurt were painful.

    Home and worked on my photos and picked the ones to share.

                    

Wandering, 04 november 2021

    I had a busy and fun day!!  Most of the day was helping JS with his car.  Had to deliver it in Salina and get JS back to work.  Then later take JS to get his car. 

    This evening I had supper at Jalisco's with MK, my grandson, and SK his son, my great grandson.  It was so fun!  SK even smiled at me and played with me.  He was quite taken with JS and the new waiter, M.  He laughed and waved at them.  Before we left M held him.  Both smiled!

    Great to have a day feeling good the entire day.  I need more like this.

    Got pretty cold last night but this afternoon the clouds left and it was pleasant.  Will keep warming though the weekend.

Wandering, 03 november 2021

    I had sort of a busy day.  A good day.  Three of my tires were very low, one was not.  I took my car into Assaria Oil.  The nicest guy runs it.  I always go to him with car problems.  There is a lady who works there that I got to know today.  She is very nice also.

    I tried to take a nap but just rested.  JS video chatted twice with me while I rested.  Glad he calls me whenever he needs.  Nico on the other hand slept well --- under the covers for warmth.

    This evening JR and PM and I ate at Jalisco's.  Good to be there.  A quiet night.  PM did a lot of talking.  Always interesting.

    Got quite cool last night.  And stayed cool today.  In a frost warning for tonight.  Hope Nico is speedy when we go out tonight!!

    Busy tomorrow. Helping a friend off and on all day.

    Photos today are mostly from Assaria and a couple from my pasture.  The red leaves are from my pear tree.  When I walked to pick one leaf up to photograph, I noticed many of the leaves had water in them.  It rained sometime while I slept.  Not much though.  The first photo is my pasture.  There is no water in that pasture.  An app added it.  I like it.  The last photo was a sweet very young  tree.  It blended in with the larger trees.  But my app has a color pop setting.  Made it stand out nicely!

                    

    

Wandering, 02 november 2021

    I have no idea what happened last night.  I wrote my blog but never published it. Duh!!  Two for the price of one today!

    Got cold last two nights.  And today only in the 40s.  Nice outside but needed a sweater.  Freeze on wednesday morning.  Much better than hot and humid.

    Got groceries at noon.  Nice to have food in the house again.  I splurged and bought a steak  First one I have had in far too long.  Very good.

    Tried to nap but did not sleep very long.  Nico was under the covers and Kisse was on top of me for lots of love.  Easier when Nico is hidden and won't attack her!!

    After lunch I voted.  Seemed like a waste of time for me.  I voted for 2 people running for the school board.  I did not know either of them.  But I did it.

    Covid is rearing its ugly head.  The hospital is now closed to all visitors.  And I heard one establishment has several cases.  Cases are going down but there are far too many people who refuse to get the shot.  I am quite tired of their whining.  I always wear a mask in public.  I trust no one in my state.  Very sad.

    Have 2 tires that are low.  Get them looked at tomorrow.

Wandering, 01 november 2021

    A cold and quiet day.  Got down to 34F and all the way up to 43F.  I was comfy inside.  Most of the time.  It misted very early but no rain or snow here. 

    Been sorting my photos on my phone.  I will never get done!!  Too many!!

    Started spraying water with peppermint essential oil in it.  I know we get mice but no clue how they get in.  I have my suspicion but no way I can fix.  I know I have spiders but do not see many.  I am sure they are hiding and snickering at me!!

    Photos today are of Coronado Heights from a year or so again.  I love being up there.  And fun to be on the board of the group that owns it.
