Tuesday

Last night I had a really bad coughing spell. And today I am hoarse. I had chills during the night. No sleep last night but I slept most of the day. I have 3 friends who have been sick for 2 weeks. I do not want that. I use essential oils. Hope they work.

Had Swedish class last night. It is always fun. I love it!! Had to ask a cousin in Sweden a question for the class. Ate first at Jalisco's. The manager's daughter was there. She gave me lots of attention. So much fun.

Today I cancelled lab and a doctor's app't. I had low blood sugar during the night so I could have my lab drawn anyway.

Sort of nice weather today. Just too much wind. Getting tiring.

Had to go to town twice for my spouse. Nico rode with. He enjoys riding.

Tuvimos un buen día, excepto por el mal clima de mi hija.

Mi computadora portátil se está muriendo. No es bueno. Se niega a conectarse a internet. Esta noche se conecta en alguna ocasión. Llamará por ayuda mañana. Espero no tener que encender mi vieja computadora portátil. Más lento que la melaza en una tormenta de nieve.

Conocí a mi hermano para el almuerzo. Buena comida. Pero mi camarero favorito estaba en casa enfermo. Hay un nuevo camarero allí. Él es realmente agradable y hace un buen trabajo.

Luego revisar las cosas de mamá. Ella había impreso algunos poemas sobre cómo la vida cambia al final de la vida. Tuve algunas lágrimas. Y ella había impreso varios correos electrónicos de sus hermanas. Más lágrimas. La extraño a ella y a ellos más de lo que las palabras pueden decir. Simplemente no está bien.

Aprendí un poco más sobre mi nueva cámara. Es un Pentax K-01. ¡¡Amándolo!! Pero mi batería ahora está muerta y cargando.

Sunday

Had a good day except for my daughter being under the weather.

My laptop is dying. No good. It refuses to connect to the internet. Tonight it connects on occasion. Will call for help tomorrow. Hope I do not have to fire up my old laptop. Slower than molasses in a blizzard.

Met my brother for lunch. Good food. But my favorite waiter was home sick. There is a new waiter there. He is really nice and does good work.

Then to go through Mom's stuff. She had printed out some poems concerning how life changes at the end of life. I had some tears. And she had printed out several emails from her sisters. More tears. I miss her and them more than words can say. Just not right.

Learned some more on my new camera. It is a Pentax K-01. Loving it!! But my battery is now dead and charging.

       

Last couple of days.

Thursday I got my hair gut and styled. I always like that. Nice to be pampered! That night I ate out with friends. A good friend works there. He is lots of fun. It was a good evening.

Yesterday I had my Swedish group. It was fun. Good conversation and good food! I think I upset a couple of members. So I have a new plan with the next holiday. I may be the president and surely not a good one but there is no need to get upset or snippy. I think when I have my knee surgery they can elect someone new. It is time.

Had lunch at Jalisco’s again. Best food and the best waiters. Actually they are friends. Always good.

Last night I went with a friend to eat in Salina and then to a program at a church in Abilene. There was music and laughs. A little religion and patriotism. There was a free will donation for people who need food on our area.

Yesterday is was 80F here. Far too warm. Then last night the wind went to the north and it got cold. Had a bit of rain this morning and then sunny but chilly.

I am having so much fun with my new camera. I sat outside with Nico and took lots of photos. And yesterday autumn leaves in town. Leaves here at home are not pretty but in town there are lots of reds and yellows. I get such nice closerups.

¡Muy ocupado! Difícil de mantener! El domingo tuve una cena para asistir. Simplemente no me sentía bien y no dormí. Me quedé en casa y dormí.

El lunes fue el funeral de un amigo. Nuevamente, no duermo y luego mi azúcar en la sangre se puso tan mal. Realmente me hace sentir mal.

Llegué a mi clase de sueco. Así que me alegro de haberlo hecho. ¡Fue muy divertido! ¡Tuvimos algunas cosas fáciles de aprender y luego cantamos villancicos de Suecia en sueco! Me encantan esas canciones y rara vez se cantan aquí en Little Sweden USA. ¿Por qué?

El martes fue el cumpleaños de uno de los mejores amigos de la historia. Él murió hace un par de años. Nunca superaré su muerte. Pienso en él a menudo.

El martes por la tarde fue la Asociación Histórica de Smoky Hill. Tuvimos un buen programa y luego toda la junta trajo comida. Comida increíble! Nunca debería haber cenado.

Hoy tuve una clase para ayudarme a aprender a usar mi intuición y mucho más. Aprendí mucho y tengo talentos que nunca supe que tenía. Un buen momento. Y aprendí más sobre los cristales.

Esta noche mi hermano J y yo comimos en Jalisco. Luego me ayudó con mi nueva cámara. Nunca he tenido una cámara real más que un punto y disparar. Revisamos todo y obtuvimos la configuración correcta. Él actualizó el firmware en él. Viene con 2 lentes. Compré otro super zoom uno. Y luego J me dio 2 para jugar y ver si me gustan. Hace tomas macro. ¡Divertido! ¡Espero tener un poco de tiempo para jugar mañana! Estoy tan emocionada.

What a week!

Just too busy!!! Hard to keep up! Sunday I had a dinner to attend. I just did not feel good and had no sleep. I stayed home and slept.

Monday was the funeral of a friend. Again, no sleep and then my blood sugar got so bad. Really leaves me feeling bad.

I did make it to my Swedish class. So glad I did. It was sooo much fun! Had some easy things to learn and then we sang Christmas carols from Sweden in Swedish! I love those songs and they are rarely sung here in Little Sweden USA. Why?

Tuesday was the birthday of one of the best friends ever. He died a couple of years ago. I will never get over his death. I think of him often.

Tuesday evening was the Smoky Hill Historical Association. We had a good program and then all of the board brought food. Awesome food! I should have never eaten supper.

Today I had a class to help me learn to use my intuition and much more. I learned so much and I have talents I never knew I had. A cool time. And learned more about crystals.

Tonight my brother J and I ate at Jalisco's. Then he helped me with my new camera. I have never had a real camera other than a point and shoot. We went through everything on it and got the settings right. He upgraded the firmware on it. It came with 2 lenses. I bought another super zoom one. And then J gave me 2 to play with to see if I like them. It does macro shots. Fun! Hope I have a little time to play tomorrow! I am so excited.
