Saturday & Sunday

Saturday was pretty exciting. My brother and I went to Wichita to watch FC Wichita fútbol team play. First we ate at Bob & Luigi's. Awesome Italian food and not expensive. Then onto the match. I bought my brother a new hat to wear. And we finally have stadium seats to sit on. Ahhh. How nice.

Match was extra exciting. We are in the playoffs. You lose now and you are out. We played our biggest opponent. We scored in 4 minutes then scored 2 more goals a minute apart!! Good to have some wiggle room. Final score was 5-1. Incredible! Fun to watch the celebration!

Weather yesterday was hot but the humidity was the worst. But I have sat through worse. We are now in the regional playoffs for a national championship. It is doubtful we can go all the way but what if???

Today J and I ate with my daughter N at Jalisco's. It was N's birthday last week but she was sick. So she got her gifts today. I give good gifts. Just what she wanted!!  

After lunch J and I went through more stuff of Mom's. Cards, cards and more cards. But also lots of Camp Phillips stuff. It was a WWII German prisoner of war camp. And they trained our troops also. And I got some great jewelry from India and a carved Indian box. Some of the jewelry is ivory. Gorgeous but illegal now. And a necklace of some kind of exotic stone. Wow. I might wear it. The ivory, probably not.

In case I did not mention it: I hate summer. Cannot wait for cooler weather!!
