We are in a winter storm warning. Depending on who you listen to or read, we are set for 2-9 inches. believe it when I see it. Might start with a little rain which means ice. Nothing here yet but it is close. And our temp is now 37F. Might work tomorrow, might not. Depends. There will be winds and if my drive is drifted I am staying home.
I did make it to town for groceries and medicine pick up. I have my favorite foods to get through the snow with!! Was not too cold then. The grocery store was really busy. Last minute supplies I imagine!! Should plan ahead. I was no better but I have to schedule a time so I was relieved to get my time I like.
The prairie looked a little different this morning. The pond is all thawed. I saw it twinkle even without much sun and there were little waves. Both sides of my driveway had many cattle up eating there. I love to see them This evening I saw not one but 2 hawks soaring over the prairie grasses. On the way home from town I had 6 deer run in front of me. I could plainly see them to the left of my car and I stopped. One cannot judge where deer will go. They ran in front of me. And the all had antlers. No photo. Dang. No time to grab my camera to focus. That was a special treat.
What is wrong with our country. A school shooting in Minnesota and in Georgia. I think Georgia was at a school. Don't quote me. The end result was 3 deaths. We just do not learn. Probably the same people who refuse to help others live also.
Photos to day are some old wintery ones. I did not take the photo of the icicles. The mausoleum photo is from a cemetery in Wichita. There are many in that one. I love driving through but it is in a not so safe part of town. Keep my doors locked and in the car.
