Wandering, 16 february 2022Ou

Today is the calm before the storm.  Not for here, of course.  We were sort of the edge and could have gone either way but now we are for sure in the one inch only.  By Wichita and parts east might get six to nine inches.  Never here.

In our 50 mph winds yesterday there were 7 fires in the state.  Not too severe.  Some in Wichita and area.  Our governor has declared out state in a crisis from drought.

Today was work day. at the Old Mill.  Kind of a quiet day.  I finished one school which was easy.  They only had one photo.  How sad.  Started on another one.  Lots of photos.  I have 2 more pages to do next week.  I love looking at the kids when the photos are enlarged.  One photos there was like 3 rows of kids standing outside.  The 2 boys on the end of the rows had stepped apart.  There was a little lined up in that open space, far back.  Interesting.  I wonder why?  Was she too shy or have kind of illness.  One little boy in another photo had his tongue sticking out.  Kids!!

Today in Sweden it is my Name Day!  Their calendar has a name on each day.  When your name comes up it is your name day and you can have extra ice cream and cookies or cake.  I got ice cream at supper and cookies at home.

JR and I ate at Jalisco's.  Lots of take out foods tonight.  And when we left they were getting busy inside.  Our Chinese restaurant that has been carry out only is now open for dining inside.  And a new place had opened their drive through.  Things are looking up.  Covid is down a bit, no thanks to the anti-vaxxers and antimaskers.  Karma will take care of them.  Sooner better than later.

It was quite warm today.  And no gale force winds.  The wind knocked over my trash bins and the scooted them further to the north.   My nephew had dragged an evergreen branch that fell out of our tree.  He put it by the fence.  It blew up against our shelter.
All the photos are taken today by me.  Cinder sat and talked to me when I was home before supper.  I sat in a lawn chair and she sat and talked to me.  The old town is part of the Old Mill.  Very cool
