07 april, 2022 Wandering

    Today was a better day than yesterday.  Not perfect but ok.  Still super strong winds but no fires here today.  Some firemen from Kansas are in Oklahoma helping fight a large fire there.  Good we can help.

    We are in a severe drought here but not the worst.  There are 2 degrees worse than us.  SW Kansas has the worst.

    Spring must be here.  I have a couple of dandelions in my yard and some blooming weeds.  One branch on my pear tree has some blooms just on the tip of it.  Barely has leaves budding out let alone flowers.  Maybe it will not bloom this year.  Even my dandelions are late.  I have 3 iris plants growing.  I thought they were dead.  No sign of my peony bushes.  Dang.  Will have to have someone plant new ones for me.

    I did get my new tire this afternoon but too late to go out to eat.  JS sent me a photo from Jalisco's.  A friend is there from NY.  I knew she was coming here but never heard from her when.  Hope I get to see her before she flies home.

    I called where I get my car cared for & ordered 3 more new tires.  Might as well so they are all the same age.  And scheduled an oil change.  The guy I go to is the best.  He always has time for me.  And is very nice.

    This cold front has done lots of damage to my body.  I got used to having no pain & boy did that come to a screeching halt.  My back hurts, a knee, even my big toe on my left foot.  That is new.

    After 30 some hours of no sleep I slept perfectly last night.  And tried to nap today but I mostly just rested.  I feel quite human!!

    I had planned on taking trash out today but not in these winds.  Hate these wind.

    I looked in Flickr last night.  I do not do much in it but that will change.  I found some cool photos I can share here.  Photos from my stay in Guthrie OK.  I need to go back.  Nice town & good places to eat.  Antigue shops to browse in.  In front of each old building is a metal sign telling what that building originally was, when it was built & by who.  I need some time away from here.  Board my kids out & relax.
