Today was not a good day. No reason why early on but now is different. First I was awake all night. I fell asleep around 9am. Cancelled eating at Jalisco's. Tried to nap so we could eat out tonight, but again. Could not fall asleep. Busy mind and lots of body pain. No need to dwell on it. Right now I have a little less pain. For now.
It got quite hot today. At least 85. Around 5am I could see some mist on my window. Nico wanted out and nothing was wet outside but oh my was it humid. Awful. Hard to breathe.
The cattle were near my house today. In the heat of the afternoon all the cattle were gathered in a grove of trees near the pond. They were quiet. Shade is good.
This afternoon also I had Nico outside and on a tall pole sat a large hawk. Where oh where was my phone??? He was fun to watch. He must have been taking a break
When it is hot out, Cinder has a box on a lawn chair she sleeps on top of. And she kind of ignores me and Nico. Her eyes barely open. I agree with her. Too hot to move.
Late this afternoon I was not only tired, but I got ill. Stomach flu symptoms. Have a dr. app't tomorrow that I am cancelling. Not moving. Sick or well it does not matter. And all the questions they ask about "do you have". I have most of them today. Not going.
The photos today are of the Old Mill, just the outside. On FB search for the Old Mill Museum to see the inside. There were 650 kids there on saturday. Wow!! The lady I work with has been named the new director. I think she will do good. I hope she stays with me in the basement. If not I will sure be lonely. But whatever.
In the photos today is one of the river. Took it a few years ago when we had heavy rains and the river was out of its banks. The church top or school top is from our old town across the street.
