15 june, 2022 Wandering

    A little better day.  Not much. I spent the day calling plumbers.  Not a fun job.  I was waiting on one I called yesterday.  They said no.  I knew they would.  Called my second choice.  He was so nice & personable.  I liked him right away.  But then he said he does not believe in tankless heaters.  And was gracious when I thanked him.  My last choice was nice & honest.  He said he would call after 5pm.  I took Nico out just missed his call.  I called him back but no answer.  He hopes that he can come to at least come to disconnect my heater from water & electricity.  That would be perfect.  He is AC busy but thought he could do my work in 2 weeks.  I dread that bill!!!

    I got fuel after supper.  That was awful.  Gotta love the gas companies for gouging us all.

    JR & I went to eat at Jalisco's.  PM joined us also.  He was under the weather but is ok now.  I was worried for a couple of days.  JS was a barrel of laughs!!  And I even got a compliment on my tunic top from him.  I am not used to compliments.  A nice moment.

    Not as hot today.  Only 90 for a high but more humidity today.  Hot for the next 2 weeks.  Joy.

    Wheat harvest continues.  Last summer my grandnephew kept saying that in another year he would have his own combine.  He is very young.  Well he has his own combine now!!  His mom sent me a video.  He has it all down what to do!!  I remember Willie telling how early he did farm work  And today my grandniece was moving hay bales.  She is a little older.  Great kids!

    My grandnephew, CN remembers that Willie filled his combine too full & wheat was spilling on to the roof of the cab.  CN said he was not going to do a Willie load.  Willie would love it!!  I am sure he is near to all of us.  We just cannot see or hear him.

    I have started sitting on the porch steps when I take Nico out.  She has learned I am ok sitting.  Now she rubs on me & I can give her lots of loving.  I need that.  Sometimes Kisse comes in bed & wants to get lots of petting.  But it is on her terms.

    The real Midsummers in Sweden is June 25, a saturday.  My photos today are one harvest collage from years ago.  All the other photos are of me at the Lester Raymer Studio when I worked there.  I am in my Swedish costume.  The lady in the kitchen & the tall one standing with me was my boss & made my costume.  The short dark haired lady with me is one of my favorite artists.  She does amazing things with material & thread.  I need to see her the next time in town.
