Had a great day!! Nice weather while I worked. When I got to work there was a picnic group eating on our front lawn at the Old Mill. I got a nice photo of them.
Today is a special memory for me. In 2019 a group of Willie's friends came to our farm to cut the field of the last wheat he planted before his accident & death. It was a great day that started with tears & ended in laughter. And $200 worth of pizzas!!! It hurts to think how confused that Willie must have been with his dementia & alcoholism. And how he suffered. No way for me to help. I have remembered some things from years ago & now I know the dementia was starting way back only I was clueless. But good memories today.
I worked today. Fun photos & nothing special today. And my boss was too busy to help identify people but she did name some late in my shift. My town but she knows many more people than me. After I got married & moved away from town I lost touch with everyone. All the friends I had went away to college. I was pregnant. And alone. Then I went to nursing school. Then I worked in Salina. And grew further away from my home town. And there are things that I keep finding out about like Swedish relatives here, etc. but no one included me. I was left out then. And today I do not feel at home in my birth town, I mostly feel like a stranger & not part of anything except the Old Mill & the SVAFC. And in Jalisco's where they all are friends to me. The one waiter has the sweetest & easiest smile. He smiles often. And make me feel at peace. Just a nice guy. And the owner is super & always helps me with my Spanish & whatever. And includes me in celebrations in his home, He is special.
Stormy weather comes tomorrow around supper. Hopefully not as bad as earlier this week. Hopefully. Rain though is needed.
