Today's Name Day: Isak
Had a day that started bad but transformed to a wonderful day.
Had no internet when I woke up. So frustrating. I could do nothing.
When I got to the Old Mill I decided to call my phone company. Talked with a really nice guy. He could see my phone service from his office. And saw that where my internet connected to my house was not working. So he fixed it from there. Told me my internet was working but I was at work & could not check to see if he was right. Told him I knew where to look to see if it was on. Either all is ok or I would be talking to him on monday!!!
At the Mill I got caught up on things I needed to do. Then I proceeded to work. I got all the tiny photos scanned. Whew. Sick of them. One photo was even a photo of Willie's father. Must have been when he was in the nursing home. I was up to the large photos when I quit & left.
JS gave me a beautiful cape several years ago when he lived here. It was in my car so I wore it all day. I kept quite warm. Very nice. Should just leave it there. Will think about that this weekend.
JR reported that all over the US there were bomb threats called into high schools. Then the school would close & send the kids home. They think the calls were from kids wanting to go home. No bombs found. No one hurt.
Supper was at Jalisco's. MA's parents & one of his brothers were eating there. Good to see his parents. Love them. His brother is one I have met but really do not know him. They were sort of busy but not horribly busy.
After supper we headed to buy groceries. Cinder & I are completely out of lunch food. Relief. Lunch is on for tomorrow. Whew!!! Including some new foods.
TV will suck after tonight. No late night shows or Saturday Night Live for 2-3 weeks. )-;
Then we went to Dollar General for ice cream bars. They are good, cheap, & a short walk. Yummy..works,
Then I headed home. And I have INTERNET!!!! What a relief!!! What a sweet man to help me!!! Will call Thanks to him on monday!!
No plans for Christmas Eve. Clueless what is open. Hope at least one place is open for supper.
The holidays have not upset me today. No tears. Not sure why they are bothering me a lot this year. I think there are things I want to do & cannot. And no one who can help me or even wants to help me. And no one seems to care how I feel. I am ready for January. Try to forget my birthday & move on.
Changed my glucose sensor this evening. It was time for it to be over. It stops by itself. After changing it shows nothing for 1 hour. 4 minutes to go. See how bad it is!!! Not horrible. Could be worse.
