Quarantine Day 53

We had rain overnight and much cooler temperatures. I about froze during the night. When I got up this morning, it was 64 in the house. No wonder I was shivering. I do not think we got much rain. Did not check. More coming tonight. Nothing severe.

Today was grocery day. They were only out of one thing I needed. Well, not needed. Wanted. No problem.

Drove through Arby's for supper. Beef sandwich and an apple turnover. Better than me cooking.

Ever since Cinco de Mayo I have felt different. More at peace. No idea why although that was a wonderful day. Almost normal. Hope it lasts.

Having severe withdrawal symptoms. I am all caught up with my Murdoch Mysteries. Awful. Now to find another one I like. No luck yet.

Quarantine Day 52

I had my dr appointment with my RA dr in Wichita. Online. It went well. There was some hurry up and wait time but not very much. I got a phone call at 2pm from her office. I was told to sign on and she stayed on the phone until I could see myself. Then I had to wait. Soon a nurse came online and asked me all the questions I usually have to fill out. Then she signed off so I had to sign back on. Was not long until my dr was online. All went well. Having a bit more pain and a new pain in my upper arm. Could be my rotator cuff has problems but not being there hard to know. Will see her in 4 months.

Nice weather again. I have no need of AC or heat. Perfect. If it would only last. Tomorrow there might be rain. Might. I never trust them anymore. Rain seems to bypass my farm often.

I got a notice that there was movement on my door bell early this morning. So I checked the video. A bird was sitting on the unit. All I could see was his brown tail. Sort of long. Cool!!

Quarantine Day 51

Since it was Cinco de Mayo I thought my brother and I should eat Mexican. Always good. Wish we could have eaten inside with the full staff. Hopefully next year.

I had my brother buy some groceries for himself and get me some lingonberries. I was down to only a tablespoon. That cannot be!! One local place mixes mayo and lingon for their ham sandwiches. To die for!!! Love it! 

I stopped to see my bestie. He was working hard. We sat briefly for a chat. Then back to work.

I tried to take a nap but could not go to sleep. What was that about??? That never happens.

Tomorrow a dr appointment over the phone. Hope it goes well. The office calls early and asks all the usual things I fill out. Then the dr calls. Sounds easy.

Even though I am no longer a mother, I treated myself to a special mom's day gift. Some new perfume and makeup. I hope I get through the day in one piece and no tears. Hard to lose motherhood. But good to feel emotionally and physically safe.

Nice weather today. And tomorrow I think. Then cooler and rain. Hope these cool spells last all summer. Be perfect. One harvest it was the best weather. Cool with a slight breeze. As soon as harvest was over, hot as all get out!! And windy. Great year!!

Nice to feel more serene. It is a rare day. Wish I could have more. But with the isolation of 51 days and counting of quarantine, won't happen often.

Quiet and nice weather. Fourth inch of rain.

Nothing else. Been in quarantine for 50 frickin' days. 50.

Quarantine Day 49

A fairly good day! For a change! 

My brother and I had our usual sunday lunch at Jalisco's. Good food! Business seemed a little slow today. Maybe better when we were not there.

After eating I stopped to see my bestie at work. He is working today but not tomorrow. Nice to have a visit. I truly miss seeing him. He might even feel the same.

Went home and the remains of the barn was burning. Several trees had been removed too.

My niece and grand niece were there and we visited for a long time. A fun visit!  My grand nephew was driving his own  ATV and moving tree branches to a pile.

Took a short nap and leftovers for supper.

Forced myself to wash my hair. I had slept wrong there was a horrid bald spot that nothing could fix. I looked awful in town.

Maybe rain tomorrow. Maybe.

No real blog tonight. No point to write when I have only stayed home.

My hand is better. I figured out what is going on.

Not as warm today. Really nice out now at 8pm.
