Another good day. It got down to under freezing. Great sleeping!! Today was around 60F. Not bad at all. I wish summer would stay like this.
A few years back harvest was like this. It is usually hot, humid and dusty. But this one & only one harvest it stayed around 70's with no humidity. It was heaven. As soon as we were done it got super hot, windy & dirty. That was a great year. Made a huge difference in how I felt. And the guys also!
Today was a hair appointment with HP. I got cut, colored in red & blond, then styled. He had to walk me to the door to see how my hair looked in the bright sun. He approved! Well of course. He is the best in town! One lady wanted my curls. I have no permanent in my hair. Too harmful. My curls are natural. Sometimes I go natural.
After my hair appointment I treated myself to beef from Hickory Hut. Too good for words. My husband loved to go there. Our last meal out of the house was there. I can drive through but I have not been back inside. Scared I will cry.
Today the farm was calm. Large group of cows and calves. Due to our drought the pond is getting lower. The cows have to step down to get a drink. And I saw a blue heron flying around the pond. They never nest here but we see them sort of often. JR & I were at Maxwell game preserve we were by the lake. There was a heron near the shore. We got tons of photos of him. He walked slowly. And we spied about 6 turtles on the beach also. Lots of trees and green growth they could hide in. Need to go back.
