Juneteenth
The story of Juneteenth begins in Texas when Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston on June 19, 1865, with an announcement. As the community listened to the reading of General Orders, Number 3, the people of Galveston learned for the first time that the Civil War was over. After more than a century of slavery and years of war, it was official. All slaves were now freedmen.

I had a good day until at home tonight. Sheesh!!! But today was a work day & it was awesome!!!
We had rain all night. Nice. The severe weather stayed south & west. Good. Did not get much rain but just nice.
I was working on the Bethany Home photos & if I could have stayed another 30 minutes I would have been done. But next week. There is a huge box of photos that are sorted alphabetically. My boss was going through them. She would recognize someone & show me. Or ask me if I know someone. I found photos of 3 people that were special in my life. I could have cried. I shared & wrote a book about them on FB. Probably bored everyone. Guess I will see. But I needed to share.
Supper was at the Crown & Rye. I had shrimp & fries. And I was wanting cake. Lordy They had chocolate cake. HUGE pieces. We each got one. Half of mine is home. Might have a few bites soon. Then groceries. I did not need nothing much. Gotta go to Salina for groceries again. They have things there we don't in town.
THEN. I got home. God help me!! I had a text from my RA clinic in Wichita. I see my new PA there on monday. I had a registration to fill out!!! I swear it was 1000 questions. At least!! I had the first part done, hit the wrong key & deleted it all. And had to start again. It took forever. Didn't help I was tired. But got done around 10pm. Then I could start my blog. Still have spanish lesson to do.
Photos tonight are ones I have painted online in an app I was addicted to at one time. Just something different.
